Were you one of the fans that just booed him for two straight days, and NOW, after he hits 3 home runs in 2 days, he should go out there and take a bow and kiss your ass because you are cheering him now?
I disagree, Delgado is a private man... he does tons of charity work in NY and he does reach out to the community and the fans. I can't remember him ever coming out for curtain calls.
He's only come out for curtain calls twice in his career; once for his 4 HR game a few years back and once for his 400th career HR. Even so, I don't think you can blame him for not coming out.
The attention being paid to this (it's the back page of Newsday - I don't know about the News or Post) is absurd. Ultimately, who gives a damn if he comes out for a freakin' curtain call? This is as stupid as the stories about him not coming out for the singing of "God Bless America" a few years ago.
