I wouldn't call Decker huge. He's physical for sure. Regardless, he's an ideal #2 behind a legit star. I'm not 100% in love with this move, but it's hard to not be happy about it.

Unless, and this is just a thought, we can trade our overall 6th to Philly and get their 20th + 2nd round pick + either Foles or 2016 picks. In this case we could keep Harvin since we get a 2nd round pick and have an entire WR corps in play. Then we have 1st, 2x 2nd and 3rd as well as 5th, 6th and 7th. So we could basically still draft a WR late. But in this scenario (just a scenario) we are absolutely set with Decker, Marshall, Harvin and Kerley. And we still have last year's WRs that might be better than expected.
This also allows us to draft a RB in Round 2 so we don't have to pay for Spiller.

The NFL average receiver size is 5'11 185 pounds.

    Decker is huge.

Brandon Marshall also if you guys have not seen his in-studio commentary/analysis is born to be a pre-game show guy. He is like the next Michael Strahan (personally). Very smart acumen when it comes to football

Honestly, I dont think this changes anything they were gonna do in the draft. You are correct tho, our redzone offense just got much better. Sorta like when we had Plax. I think the draft was always gonna be BPA to a need. I still think we have a need at reciever. Just not as great. I def dont want them drafting a cb this year. Please just buy them. We need to cultivate some offensive talent.

Harvin most likely wont be back. Just wayy too much $$ tied up in the WR position if he is.

But as to trading with Philly it makes sense

    QB - Foles
WR - Marshall, Decker, Kerley...then use the 20 to draft either Green Beckham or maybe trade up for DeVonte Parker.

I think that would be scary.

    How am I fighting? Lol

You picked out my comment to argue it. I didn't pick you out. And facts are facts. Both Decker and Marshall are way above the average

The outcome on whether this trade is a success or a failure depends on which Brandon Marshall we're getting.

I just don't get the Jets. Randall Cobb is available and clearly the most dynamic, youngest WR out there and they spring for a talented, but fragile Marshall.

They better STILL address WR early in the draft. Make no mistake, the Jets offense is broken. They need lots of skill position talent. WR better be handled early in the draft too.

You can still be a very good WR at 31 so no issue there. I'm most concerned with Marshall's mental state. It completely affects how he plays in the games.

If he's mentally fine, then we could be getting a top WR.

    I'm with you, BUT,

I'm thinking the offensive talent we really need is most urgently needed on the OL. So, you have flexibility now: you could trade down and get either an OL or a CB or, even the OLB we haven't had since...I don't even know. Or, you could just take the OLB with #6.

Sorry, but I don't agree with taking Mariota because I think he'd be in the same position as Geno was: needing to sit for a year and not being the sure thing that a first round QB should be.

The Jets top priority is QB, for oh so many reasons. This deal increases the magnitude of that. Please get it right Jets!

That's a major reach, given the off-field issues.

Quite frankly, every year there's a ton of "can't miss" WRs. No need to reach for any of them.

Talent wise he's worth it IMO. Dez had those same concerns and went in the mid 20s.

With all the WR needy teams like KC, SEA, MIA (if they ditch Wallace) I dont think DGB falls very far.
