I don't think they're scared. The Giants players got bombarded with 'Who rules NY' by their beat writers last week. They got someone's balls tweaked and it turned out to be Brandon Jacobs.

They only people in either organization that really care about 'ruling NY' are the ones concerned with the bottom line of the franchise.

But wait, I thought John Mara told Fatcessa that the Giants don't need to talk to get on the back pages?

Having not been born in the area, perhaps that's the reason I don't dislike the Giants. Don't particularly like them, either, although I sure was rooting for them to beat the Cheatriots two SB's ago.

I don't think most fans of either team think there's a rivalry, either. The Jets' rivals are the fish and Pats, and to a lesser extent the Bills. Used to be the Colts, too. The division, in other words.

I don't like most Giant fans, and don't care for their team.

I absolutely despise people you claim to be a fan of both, that's just lame.

Let Jacobs look to the past while Rex and company shape the future.

They don't play in the same conference. That's why I find the feud stupid.

The Buffalo, New York Bills play in the same division, and I hate them. Thank god they are a shitty, dead end franchise.

That's why the Yanks/Mets feud is also retarded. They play in different leagues, the feud should only matter when the play each other 6 times a year, and if they meet in the world series. Other than that, find a common enemy and coexist - like Boston and Philly teams.

This "feud" started when Giants fans and the Fat Man on WFAN denigrated the Jets accomplishments last year after the Giants pulled a big fold closing out the season. If Giants fans had just let the Jets fans enjoy the team's success instead of whining about how the Jets didn't earn a playoff spot and were lucky to beat Cincy and SD, none of this would have happened. Giants fans brought this on themselves and their team.

As for the "last team who wins a championship" owns the town or the "team with the most titles" owns the town crap, how does that actually play out??? Does that mean that the NY metro area is a Devils town when it comes to hockey? They won three cups after the Rangers won in 94?? Or is it an Islander town because they won four titles in the 80s?????

Fuck Brandon Jacobs. NYJ will own the town soon. It's a 'what have you done for me lately' kinda world.

That's not when it started. Its been going on since the Jets moved to the Meadowlands.

Fat Mike can't hurt anyone if no one listens. I rarely listen to WFAN. Its gone straight to hell in the last 4 years. Its embarrassing.

It really comes down to who is most relevant. So the Yankees win. If no NY team wins a ring in the next 5 years, then no one is relevant.

Wouldn't you want a player on your team to say they are the best?
I never understood why some Mets fans got their panties in a bunch when Jimmy Rollins said the "Phillies are the team to beat". Of course he is going to say his team is the best.

There is no Yanks/Mets fued. The Mets fans hate on the Yankees and their fans. Blame the Mets for that, not Yankees. I actually wish the Mets well.

In a related story, the title of 'most overrated RB in New York' still belongs to Brandon Jacobs

This is a media made issue. Our goals as an orginization is to win the Super Bowl and to do that we need to win the division and get the # 1 seed. Our competition is the Pats and the Dolphins, not the Giants. Winning the Super Bowl will make us the big team in town and help Woody sell PSL's. One season does not make us the # 1 NY team, but winning the Super Bowl 3 years ago does not make them better then us. THis is the season we find out if the Giants are going to fall and the Jets are for real

he's not wrong. But on another note, thought it was cool that Shaun o'hara said he was rooting for us.

until we win the big one, this will be a giants town. And even after that it still may be. we're the talk of the town for the moment bc of our coach, our talent and our poster boy qb. we're the more marketable team right now, but to continue that trend we need to win the super bowl. the giants 2007-08 season was epic and they deserve all the credit in the world for it even a couple of years after. But they might slip into irrelevance if they underachieve like last year. Hard to believe they could fall off like they did

I don't really have a problem with the team, I just dislike their fans enough to the point where I want nothing to do with the team.
