he must go - can we start a fund for a billboard like how they did in denver - ill throw in a few hundred -
If you go by any objective measure, Brian Schottenheimer has either been the worst offensive coordinator in the NFL in his tenure with the Jets, or at least close to the very bottom. That he continually receives public shows of faith is entirely inexplicable, unless something other than actual ability as a football coach is being considered. Unless he has compromising pictures of Woody and Tannenbaum, the only thing imaginable is that they have a misguided faith that, because he's the son of a [highly overrated and entirely underachieving] long-tenured NFL head coach, that he knows what it takes to succeed at that level. Which is, of course, undeniably misguided. From a play-calling perspective, you could take a 10-year old who plays a lot of Madden and have a better offensive coordinator for free.
Is it bad that I have more faith in the defense and special teams scoring points than our offense? Im not sure who that falls on at this point but we are moving the ball like a high school team and it is simply just embarrassing.
Here we go with the 3 and outs, again. I can't believe we aren't running the ball against the lowly Dolphins.
got to give credit for that qb draw... well done with that play - NOW KEEP IT UP .. and maybin just blasted bush - PLAY LIKE JETS
Funny how after a win no one has anything to put in this thread but if we had lost this thing would be 281 pages long, not 181. Still not a Schotty fan but a lot of the fans do over-react.
People are going to bitch less after a win, but that 3rd down LT to Sanchez play was one of the stupidest I've ever seen.
He was terrible at the beginning but he did turn it around after the offense got that first 1st down. I was happy with his calling after the beginning but the offense still doesn't seem right.
Agreed, and I normally don't like your posts but this is correct. That play-call I can live with if we are in scoring position or it's first and second down and we have picked up a few first downs prior to the play-call. But Brian decided to dial that play up when it's third down, in Miami territory and we haven't even converted a first down yet. Just did not like that play-call in the situation right there.
The offense moves decently well when they're throwing down field. I don't know how much longer I could have took with those stupid short timing routes.
With Sanchez trusting his OL, and the passing game going back to what Sanchez does best, we'll see mark play better.
Weird how every week the plays he designs to start the game and prepares all week are the ones that suck the most and cause the offense to start every game terribly. Just goes to show that his game planning needs some serious work. He really has no clue how to attack a defense and prepare. Often times he actually is able to adjust decently mid-game, and today they were able to get just enough going to get the win.
After the four 3 and outs, they started to take a step in the right direction. However, it was still vs the Dolphins and it's not like the offense lit things up.
The offense doesn't seem right because the offensive line is not dictating the flow this season and Schotty's offenses have been pretty weak when there was anything but a strong performance out of the offensive line.
