I saw your quote after I posted. I was just referring to the idea of a giant spill in Boston. It still hurts just thinking about it. No molasses in the beans at my house goddammit!

Garpopolo is the second or third coming of God so it wouldn't be a big deal anyway.

50/50. If not, 50/50 again next year. He's at the age. That's why Belichik spent a 2nd rounder on a QB this year. If he really thought Brady had two more good years in him he'd have waited a year.

After hearing the old lore that on a hot summer day you can still get a slight whiff of molasses, when visiting my daughter who lived in Southie in July 2 years ago, I walked up and down Commercial Street and the North End and I got nothing. But we ate at Giacomos so I had that going for me.

I hope it's this year. But knowing our luck he plays at an elite level until he's 45.

Garrapollo would probably come in and be the best QB in the AFC east. Seems like idzik really wanted him he spent a good grip of time scouting him over the offseason. shoulda pulled the plug n traded some of those picks

Which picks would you have liked him to give up to get ahead and grab Garapollo?

You can smell a lot of things in the North End, and none smell like molasses. Especially the couple of blocks around the Gahden. Have eaten at some nice Italian spots there, but not Giacomo's.

If I get to NY, is the original Il Miluno as good as advertised? Have enjoyed my dinners at the one in Orlando and Vaegs.

Tannehill, Smith, & EJ.. for one there isn't much competition, and he looks like he's going to be a decent QB in the league. I also think the way the patriots system is ran a lot of QB's would prosper. I look at how cassel played there compared to other places... and credit their system for his hype. Mallet even played good there.. we'll see him turn to garbage in Houston. Plus since they traded mallet they must see a bright future with the kid...im sure they would not have a questionable QB taking over after Tom Brady's corny ass (im hating) legacy.

Honestly i like Geno so im not saying thats what i wanted us to do, and i dont wanna count any of the rooks out just yet but alot of the picks dont seem all that impressive outside of the 4 i like which is Pryor, Amaro, McDougle, & Saunders.. Considering we had all those 3rd,4th,&5th round picks i woulda traded two of those. I also think the Pats took him kinda early he might of dropped another round had they not.

It's good but there are dozens just as good.

You gotta try Giacomo's. Outstanding. Quintessential North End Italian fare.

I think he might be good. But he needs to prove it in meaningful games.
