I read up on that and it did say he requested a trade, and then apologized for it the next day. He wanted to be a true NT and not a 3 tech, and didn't like the direction the defense was going. And he was tired of the team never improving. Reminds me of when we misused Leonard Williams and then traded him for a 3rd. He is still delivering double digit sack seasons at his true position.
Yeah, those are good points. We can split the difference. Anyhow I laid down my feelings and what I think we should be doing. Wont be to interested in the top 5 QB threads that will rage this offseason. And while I said we never have any luck, we are having some luck. Sauce got hurt after the trade, and their QB went down which could improve the pick. Maybe some good luck is a sign our overall luck is changing?
The Chiefs one is not that different from what we are talking about here. Extra 1st and 3d is pretty close to what I was saying. I am saying max extra 1st and 2nd or less. And if the Colts pick is good, maybe 1st and 3d like for Mahomes. I don't think the package I am mentioning, let's call it Miller package, is bad if we get the right guy. The key is to get the right guy. If we do, I don't think it will cripple us in other areas. Now, I am not prepared to do this for Mendoza. After watching quite a few of his games now, I do see what you guys are saying about his arm strength, throwing on the move, etc... I still think he has a decent arm and I would draft him straight up. But I do not think I would give up the Miller package for him. Moore, if he plays 3 more games like he has played in the last month, I would.
Yes, New York Jets fans: It's ok to dream the big Brady Cook dream Dream the impossible dream!: Man of La Mancha (1972) - The Impossible Dream Scene (6/9) | Movieclips - YouTube
Not a good debut for sure for Cook. At least this time the WR's held on to the passes however, the offensive gameplan was frankly beige and the defense pulled another no-show. Not making any excuses for Cook as he shit the bed for sure. He has 2 more games to prove he belongs on the roster or not.
Hopefully he gets a shot not being down 3 scores 5 mins into the game. Amazing that we went from the defense we had 2 years ago to this, with many of the same pieces
Common demonitator here is going from Saleh and Ulbrich to Glenn and Wilkes, and the defense sucked this bad even with Sauce and Quinnen, they did not just start sucking, ever since Saleh got canned midseason the defense regressed bad, but with Glenn/Wilkes its became a catastrophe. Saleh atleast got the most out of Quincy and Sherwood, seems like under Glenn/Wilkes they went back to being scrubs.
Yeah, let's call spade a spade: Cook started pretty decent, but then shit the bed. The INTs were horrendous. The 1st two were atrocious, and even the last one, yeah Arian Smith should have made a better effort to try to break up a pick, but this was definitely INT worthy throw and should have been a fairly easy completion if thrown properly. The good news is that AD Mitchell rebounded. Still there was a drop there on what could have been a tough catch, but he did make some good plays and scored a TD too. A good performance from AD overall. Cook should continue to start to see if he can get better, but he has been INT machine so far. And many of them are just brutal to watch. That is not acceptable even for a back-up in the NFL. 3 more games to get better, and if he cannot, then possibly another career afterwards.
