I was about to post something like this. If Bradway has been a head scout for the past few seasons you should probably thank him for Revis, Mangold, Harris, etc. Maybe his talent lies in scouting but not so much in working contracts/courting FA.
well............ since there's now threads about Bill Polian. who's really evaluating talent for the J-E-T-S?
OMG! i totally forgot about that. you are right. how those two idiots are still employed is the peter principle at work. maybe the jets are truly cursed.:drunk:
Now we are going top bring up the GM who was here 2001-2005? Ed Reed is great but BT was a decade+ starter for us so it's hard to call that a bad pick. we traded 1 1st rd pick b/c we got 1 in return. I love when people say we "traded 2 1st rd picks" and ignore that when we did that we got a much higher pick in return. Robertson was a good player for us until we went to the 3-4. Not worrth what we paid to get him but he wasn't vernon gholston. Conway wasn't brought here to start over Moss. he was brought as a stopgap after losing Coles. Moss had only played 1 season as a 3rd WR, he was still getting plenty of playing time and he stepped up to prove he was a top guy for us. The pick of Nugent was bad, the trade was EXCELLENT. we got a TE ready to play and got the guy we wanted plus acquired the pick that turnbed into Kerry Rhodes who was good for us before his attitude went south.(by the way he intercepted the pass that led to GW FG for Cards yesterday)
I don't think bradway has been horrible..but their comes a point where it is time for a change. I think we've reached that point in the personnel department. Time for a fresh perspective.
he lucks into the greatest QB of this generation then fills in around him. it's not that difficult after getting lucky w/ Brady.
Bullshit. He took Brady in the 6th round, 199th overall. Richard Seymour in 1st round, 6th overall. Rob Gronkowski in 2nd round, 42nd overall. Dan Koppen in 5th round, 164th overall. Asante Samuel in 4th round, 120th overall. Matt Light in 2nd round, 48th overall. Deion Branch in 2nd round, 65th overall. Logan Mankins, 1st round, 32nd overall. Vince Wilfork 1st round, 21st overall. Jerod Mayo 1st round, 10th overall. Aaron Hernandez 4th round, 113th overall. Come on. If it were so easy filling in the people around him, then why don't all teams do it? I don't buy that luck bullshit what-so-ever. To have a rep like this, you obviously know what to look for and exactly what you are doing. We trade away all of our late round picks. Hell, even our 1st round pick doesn't play more than 5 snaps. Belicheat has had 4 studs pan out from his 4th-6th round picks, one of them being an absolute bad ass Tight End.
got lucky w/ Brady, took him to be a career backup. They have a million bad picks too and the Gronk draft was the first good one they had in a long time which is why they stopped winning SBs. Brady can only do so much.
