Bradway is a worthless piece of sh-t who gave up picks to move up and take fat bust Dewayne Robertson 4th overall; the genius who drafted a kicker (mike nugent, who happens to suck) in the 2nd round (47th overall); the idiot who traded a 1st round pick for Doug fu-king Jolley.

I wouldn't believe a word he says. The guy has zero credibility.

The fact that he's still in the organization and on the payroll is a fu-king joke.

Why couldn't Sanchez tear his ACL when we still had a shot at the playoffs,

I mistyped. Bradway actually gave away a 1st round pick to the Raiders for Doug Jolley.

By contrast, Rob Gronkowski was taken in the 2nd. Hernandez and Jimmy Graham were taken in the 3rd.

Bradway deserves to be blacklisted by all 32 NFL teams. The guy should be selling insurance in Memphis like Browning Nagle.

Actually it's not based on his last game but rather a pattern of play he has shown though out the entire season. Earlier this year I saw him have a chance to out of bounds or slide instead he went head first to gain a extra yard and took a vicious hit giving him a concussion. Then in the press conference instead of saying he needed make smarter decisions he said he would continue playing the same way. True to form he did and now look at him. I fault his coach as much as him.

Good post. You bring up an interesting topic regarding the media.

Of course know one truly knows. But if you are smart then its possible to be right a good more than you are wrong. If you are really smart, then you recognize that you will be just be wrong sometimes and be cool with it. But the whole Russel Wilson thing just cements in stone that the sports media "experts" don't know jack shit. Despite glaring evidence, they refused to give him any credence until he shoved it in their face by putting up 40 spots on teams at the end of the season but they kept including "TN1" in the awesome rookie qb talk as long as they could. Lol. Take the media with a grain of salt because they dont analyze statistics or review gametape properly, they just formulate their opinions and then try to mold the script to support those opinions no matter what. Don't put yourself in their company because I'm sure you don't suck as much at your job as they do at theirs.

Bradway had his chances. If he didn't blow them then he'd still be in charge and we'd have Wilson then. Mull that over.

I think your definition of midget is off. He's been able to play the position exceptionally behind an big oline his entire life. I think he's answering his critics that his height is a factor, it's not. He has all the tools to be a top QB in this league.

Haha, that Doug Jolley trade was preposterous.

Funny thing was the usual suspects were defending it at the time...along with drafting a kicker in the 2nd round...fullbacks in the 4th...trading two first round picks for a marginal DT who wasnt all that good in college...

Bradway stunk in the mid 2000's.

  10. By far his worst offense.

Bradway had a habit of overanalyzing the draft about a week before its launch & falling in love or out of love for that matter w/ certain facets.

Bradway was too MUCH of a scout to be a Gm. Frankly the polar opposite of Tannenbaum.

we didn't give away a 1st rd pick, we moved back a few spots into the 2nd rd and got a veteran TE plus another pick which wound up getting us Kerry rhodes who was a really good player for us for a few years. That was not a bad trade at all, actually it was a pretty good one and where NE or No got gronk/Graham 5 years later has nothing to do with it.

The Jets decided to move out of the first round to acquire a player that had little production with 3 years experience.

We then decided to draft a kicker.

Heath Miller was sitting there for us to draft in the first round.

Very concise way of framing Bradway's faults. He's never tempered his evaluations with the risk that they could be wrong. It's also gives pause on his scouting evaluations, as well. He just gambled far too much when he was in management, and the organization suffered for it.

I can't explain why Bradway is here when there's so many other scouts out there.

Doug Jolley in Pitt would have put up Heath Miller #s, heath has had 2 seasons w/ more than 51 recs. let's not make him out to be gronk.

Doug Jolley was out of football after his stint with the Jets.

Miller is also one of the best blocking tight ends in football. Jolley could never block.

we had one of the best blocking TEs in the league at the time in Becht, we wanted a receiving threat. Unfortunately we had a million QB injuries and he played most of the year w/ a 4th string QB but still put up decent #s.

It wasn't a bad trade at the time as it wasn't a 1st rounder, we moved back about 20 spots, got a vet TE and a chip to acquire Kerry Rhodes. All in all not a bad move. You want to question having a 1st rd grade on Mike Nugent? I can agree there, I think they panicked after Brien cost them a trip to the title game.

The Nugent pick was comical in the sense they thought they were a kicker away from winning a Super Bowl.

Kickers have basically zero value in the draft and we decided to draft one with our first pick on a team that wasnt all that talented.

That's water under the bridge now but the Jets draft model has sucked for a while. It's not a coincidence this is one of the least talented rosters in the league....we value the wrong guys at the wrong spots.

we were a missed kick from the title game(had 2 chances) the year before and we had plenty of healthy talent but we were killed w/ injuries that year including starting a 4th string QB and 3rd string RB most of the year. In 2006 we were mostly healthy again and made the playoffs again.
