We're set with Cribbs as a slash/gadget play guy, and beyond that we have enough bottom of the depth chart WR as it is.
Didn't David Tyree make one of the greatest catches in Super Bowl history? How about that hall of fame career Timmy Smith put together after his record setting game? Doing something once does not make you capable of being an every day player. In his 7 years in the league 4 of them have year Long totals of under 100 yards receiving. People need to quit acting like this guys is anything close to a receiving option.
Smith is a limited receiver but he's better than a lot of the recievers suiting up for this team on sundays, so he wouldn't be a bad pickup. He's hurt though- that's why we won't see the Jets pick him up more than anything. He is not healthy.
with Stevie Johnson possibly out for next Sunday, my guess is that Buffoonalo will try to resign Aligator Arms to the roster. Then, after next year when they draft a QB to replace EJ ManBUST, they might even become relevant
Brad Smith was the last player we had that was a threat to score anytime from anywhere on the field, something the Jets sorely lack. However, don't know how much his skills have eroded, if at all. Cribbs seems to be the guy right now.
I was just saying he can still get separation and catch the ball for scores. Obviously he's not a Santonio Holmes, nor is he an every down player, but he's decent enough to fill a hole while we wait for Kerley, IMO. Even if we don't play him, I feel it's worth signing him, just so the Bills can't sign him back with Stevie out. It would essentially screw them since he's familiar with their offense. Damnit, just saw the post above. Yep, back to Ed reed
