I'm completely shocked at how inconsistent Cotchery has played this year. But he's our number 3 receiver.

yeah last year i don't remember him ever dropping a pass. This year he has made the tough catches but dropped the routine ones routinely, odd

Not in this lifetime. But, I agree with Mayock and Baldinger - if you're going to put him under center at all, you have to have him throw once in a while.

If Ronnie Brown throws the ball, the certainly Smith should do the same.

Shit, have Braylon act has if he's going to block, and then release up the field. there will be no safety help, they're so close to the line they won't get back in time.

One of those plays will re-open the Brad Smith ground game.

I can't remember who, but a team was in the WC with he QB wide left, snapped the ball they ran right. Runner stopped, threw the ball behind him back to the QB on the left and he almost hit the wide-out for a 75 yard score.

I want to see that play. lol

Kansas City did that. They also ran a wildcat TD pass to their QB about 3 years ago when Thigpen was their starter.

Schotty doesn't even trust his starting QB to throw passes. I'm not going to hold my breath for him to use anything resembling a legitimate passing threat with Brad Smith outside his cute little once-a-year trick attempt.

My feeling is that Cotchery's primary asset has been his reliability. He's not had that this year and hasn't replaced it with big plays or anything else. He really needs to shape up. It wouldn't surprise me to learn he's been playing hurt outwith the groin problem.
