You're wasting your time, gus. Wait until he shows up on the field and then rub their noses in it like a rug full of cat pee.
I don't understand why all the negativity with Schlegal. He was a team captain with Ohio and was the mainstay of an awsome LB core. Hes still young and will get bigger and faster . Another LB that people seem to have forgotton is Chatham , theres a good article and video on him on www.newyorkjets.com
I think that signing these DE definately show that they Jets arent looking to draft one. They obviously wouldnt be bulking up to just draft another. If someone already wrote this im sorry, i couldnt read all of these pages
DEs Well w/ Coleman and now Bowens you have two guys who can step in and start opposite Ellis or potentially play the pass rushing backer on passing downs. Hamilton will most likely play the inside and maybe Kimo will get some reps as DT, also on passing downs. Anything you can get from Haynes is a plus and I don't think we'll see Wadsworth around much past preseason game 2. CB and DT are still needs as is another LB but beyond that it's all O. Maybe some project O-linemen, a pass catching TE, and then who knows. Slowly but surely...
The Jets, who seem to be collecting free-agent defensive linemen this offseason, made possibly their biggest splash to date with the agreement to terms with former Dolphins DE David Bowens. http://www.nypost.com/seven/03292007/sports/jets/jets_wrap_up_de_bowens_jets_mark_cannizzaro.htm
