This is another example of complete over reaction. If Sanchez is capable of doing what the coaching staff thinks he can then nothing will prevent him from doing so. Providing an excuse for his failure is pathetic.

Totally agree. My only issue with the trade is that I don't see it being worth it to give up a 4th round pick and a 6th round pick for a wildcat HB/QB and a 7th round pick. To me, a 4th round pick is still quite valuable and you can still find an impact player for your team in the 4th round. I just don't see Tebow as being "Worth it".

Having said that, I think some people are drastically overreacting to this proposed trade. It's no where near a "disaster".

Not if the god damned organization is practically setting him up for failure. The minute he throws a pick or gets sacked the Tebow chants will rain down on him. That would fuck with anyone, doesn't matter.

The trade Blows----I hope it is kaboshed and he goes to the Jags.

Let me get this straight----the Jets traded a 4th and a 6th for Tebow who Denver could not wait to get rid of ! I have lost almost all faith in Tanny and our front office,,,,,,to bring this guy in would only create a distraction the we do not need

This is exactly the type of logic that got us in this place to begin with. Schotty was incapable of holding players ACCOUNTABLE. Now we have a new sherriff in town and he will hold people ACCOUNTABLE. Just like several players have said, the Jets have coddled Sanchez to the point that he has taken the easy way out. It's time to grow up or ship out just like every American worker except government workers faces every year. Time to produce end of story.

“We have to bring in another quarterback that will make him work at practice. He’s lazy and content because he knows he’s not going to be benched.” — an anonymous New York Jets player talking about quarterback Mark Sanchez to reporter Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News back in January

I think you've started enough threads for the day.

Does your thought process go: "MY THOUGHTS AND FINDINGS ARE FAR TOO IMPORTANT FOR THE ESTABLISHED THREADS!"?

Yup. I am in. I think this makes Jets a better team, bottom line. Gives Sanchez some competition and a bit of a wild card on offense, plus he's going to have a chip on his shoulder and could potentially play his way into a starting role.

I don't get this idea that we gave up too much. 4th round picks are exactly where you get wildcat-type players. Leon Washington. Brad Smith. (those are two of the better 4th rounders in our recent history, btw) And that's what we got, except Tebow can throw better than either of these guys. How is this not a good personnel decision?

We paid a little more for Joe McKnight (4th and 6th) two years ago so I don't get why people are acting like we mortgaged the farm for one player.

Exactly. The Broncos paid over 700 points in draft value to obtain Tebow while we paid less than 90 points when you calcuate the (4 and 6 minus the 7 we get in return). That is a steal.

One of the things I really like about the Tebow move is that the Jets have played their best football when they have been counted out or received hate. The fact that the NFL is looking down on us now and saying we're done or we're falling apart makes me think that we are gonna come out and kick some ass next year. We will prove everyone wrong again.

    Or at least I hope.

Peyton Hillis 2.0 Tebow is a bruiser with the ball in his hands. I would love for him to be our featured running back and safeties would always have to respect his ability to throw.

Exactly. Last year we got too much love at the beginning of the year. Also, don't discount the value of a training camp, where Rex is a master of building team unity.

We didn't have training camp, so he was unable to use his master skills.
