You can't even begin to imagine my joy at seeing this post from you. Matter of fact, could you start another ARod Sucks thread?
Those stats prove my point. A .191 BAA and a 3.94 ERA in the AL East is NOT getting hit hard. His record is 3-5, but win/loss record is a horrible way to evaluate a pitcher. Like it or not, he's been very solid against the Yankees. If not for that one fluke home run because the hitter has no bat speed, in a game he never should have been pitching in, Wakefield would have easily been the MVP of the 2003 ALCS. He was 2-0 with a 2.08 ERA before that game. Even with game 7 added in, his ERA for the series was 2.57.
Your right A-Rod sucks. Thanx for putting me in my place. His first HR was in a game that was pretty much over? It made the game 8-4 and was the beginning of an attempted comeback. 8th or 9th inning I bet you werent saying this game is over. When you hit 14 HR's in 18 games followed by 1 in your next 20 games and then hit hr's in back to back games, I would say that classifies as heating up. He carried the Yanks ass in April. Your probably one of the Mets fans who said Wright was better then A-Rod last year and isnt a choker like A-Rod. Then when he hit .160 against the Cards in the playoffs you had nothing to say
Dude, we're not evaluating Wakefield as a pitcher. We're evaluating him against the Yankees. The fact remains that the Yankees beat him more times than not. I'm by no means calling Wakefield a bad pitcher. All I'm saying is that the Yankees beat him. Nothing more, nothing less.
we will see if that win versus the mets starts something sweet... and when we play the redsox after the month of april, we start getting into our groove, excluding the 1998 season.
Doesn't matter with Arod. Nobody will have him to kick around next year. Word has it that the Anaheim Angels of Los Angeles owner is going to offer him part ownership in his team to opt out of his contract. The other rumor is that the Chicago White Sox will offer him a deal at around 200 million. Scot Boras will get a record contract for Arod. Of course Don, where is he by the way?, thinks the Yankees can sign Arod for like 4 years, 60 million.
 And to think you had your chance to gang up on me in person when the Yankees beat the Sox but instead you missed out...
