Mosley adds depth, hes not the answer, but considering we gave up our fourth string QB, i think its a great move

If this is for Mosley its great. However I liked Brooks better than Ramsey. Hopefully Clemens is above Ramsey on the depth chart.

So because the Jets traded away their 3rd or 4th string QB, we're suddenly the worst team in the NFL? Even if the Jets kept Bollinger, do you really think they'd be playoff-bound then?

Hope it works out for Bollinger.

Despite all the hate from this forum of him when we called upon him he did better than anyone could have expected.

I honestly liked Bollinger more than Ramsey. Bollinger played respectably considering the conditions he was under last year. Ramsey has already failed with everything working for him. But we needed DT help badly. I just hope this Mosley fellow pans out.

    Jets | Bollinger traded
    Thu, 31 Aug 2006 15:19:36 -0700

Sean Jensen, of the Pioneer Press, reports the New York Jets have traded QB Brooks Bollinger to the Minnesota Vikings in exchange for DL C.J. Mosley. The deal will be finalized once both players pass their physicals.

KFFL did make a mistake I guess.

I feel the same way. Even though he's far from starter material, I still prefered him over Ramsey. At least the Jets got back something they desperately needed. I was actually hoping the Jets would draft CJ Mosley last year, so I'm happy with the trade.

Cimini predicted 3-4 months ago we would trade Bollinger and get value for him. He is quite often far ahead of other reporters.

I am not a fan of Tangini but great move getting a pick and filling a position of need.

I supported Bollinger like some on this board as well. But let's face it, if it came down to Bollinger at the helm again we are sunk. Best to get what we could for him and help bolster an area of need. Best of luck to Bollinger!

We all knew one of the QBs was gonna be gone by the seasons start. Turns out it was Bollinger. I liked him, but Im really not gonna sweat this move too much, especially considering how weak we are along the defensive line

Bollinger is a great person and great teammate. Good to the fans as well. Not NFL Starter Material though.

Here's a report from the draft...

6-191: C.J. Mosley. Great value this late in the draft. Good chance of making the roster as the 3rd/4th tackle. Versatile, fairly athletic and a good character. Replaces underachieving Steve Martin.

Im pretty sure we brought in Mosley for a visit two years ago. Although, it WAS under a different regime, but Bradway probably had more than a little input in this decision

Sounds like he is a poor man's D-rob... Interesting since we really are looking for a wide load to clog the middle. I am not opposed to it but like that the regime is looking at athletes to fill the line spots (D'Brick for example)
