Sorry, but Bollywood is not going to bring anything in from a trade. There are better FA QB's available now that don't require anything.

I just find it weird that Ramsey has had what seems to be like no time in the preseason games, but I guess its because he has just been that awfull in practice to warrant any playing time.

According to Adam Schefter on NFL Total Access, the Jets will keep 4 QBs because of what happened last season.

I think it would make sense to keep 4 QBs, but I just don't see it happening.

People have fallen too in love with Bollinger...makes me sick. The thought of Bollinger running the squad another year would make me sick, where as to Ramsey playing, we could actually have more of a chance.

If Ramsey is really going to be the No.2 QB I can't see how Mangini would pass up his last chance to get some decent game action before the season starts. Brooks would command virtually nothing in a trade even if he threw three TDs in the last preseason game, so if he is out of here Mangini would not waste playing time on him.

We'll only know for sure when the final cuts are made. If Ramsey goes it will show that the FO has some guts - to admit to making a mistake and dealing with it.

unless he teleported to the game against dallas, he has to wait until Brad Johnson gets blasted...the next action he sees will be regular season, if that

LOL - that is what I was just thinking. Just came home and saw this trade went down. Man, that was fast and out of nowhere! But, to be honest, it made more sense to trade Bolly. Ramsey at this point has shown nothing and he has a lot more starting experience than Bollinger. In this respect Bollinger was at least tradable. Not sure about who we got for him though. He sounds green - but a lot of folks were praying we'd sign a NT. You got your wish.

It wasn't my wish at all, I just knew this whole competition for the QB position thing was a farce. The whole time I knew Pennington would get the job, Ramsey would be # 2, Clemens 3 and Bolly gone. At the end of the day, it comes down to the same thing money and seniority. Pennington will be the starter as long as he can hold on to it. Ramsey will be the # 2 for this year and probably go somewhere else next year in hopes for true competition for a starting position and Clemens will be the starter eventually. If it were a real competition, Clemens would be getting a serious look as the starter or at the very least the # 2 position.

Looking at it like that it does indeed make sense. They can afford in the first year to take a gamble on whether Penny will stay healthy or not, because after this year they can move Clemens up the depth chart and trade/draft for someone else if Penny breaks down again.

Put it in perspective. We got basically nothing in return.
