Do we release Cotch then? He has the same 29 cent QB throwing at him. How bout we clear the OL as well since the QB is no good anyways. And the RB... Look Don, you have two spots on the offense to fill. How about we start somewhere? Whadya think?
Agreed 100%. That's the same as saying we shouldn't have traded for Lito and signed Leonhard because our pass rush sucks. We need a QB and a WR, it doesn't matter what order they come in.
And Im not saying we trade for Boldin. All Im saying is we need a WR. I'd go for Cutler instead but that seems highly unlikely. If boldin can be had for a first while getting back a 4th or something, I would do it.
Maybe that $9 million dollar reciever can make as you say our "29 cent" QB look like a million bucks!
Dude, thats not right. I like Don. If he wasn't here, there wouldn't be any arguments and TGG would become boring ... lol
random thoughts: 1- Would boldin come to a team that is being built as a 'defense first team' that runs the ball and with no QB at the moment? 2- Let's say the $9M per is accurate. How does that compare to what we'd be paying for our 17th pick? How does this compare to what we are paying VG? 3- It would be nice to have a receiver that keeps the other D honest so we can have a chance at running the ball. Sending Keller Boldin Crotch would clear space for Lean/Jones. ....and my number one random thought: 4- We should sign Boldin just to light a fire under VG's ass.
A D oriented team gives the O many more opportunities to score and be in good field position. That is why you set a team up to be a D oriented team. Secondly the Jets have an excellent O Line and the Jets will be able to run the ball. Third, the ability to run the ball sets up the ability to throw the ball. Fourth, Clemons and Ratliffe both have good arms and they can throw the ball. So Yes a WR should be very interested in coming to the NY JETS.
