Even though they grossly overpaid (I completely agree with you in principle), the Cowboys shipped a 1st, 3rd, and 5th for the services of Roy Williams. Jerry Jones is a fucking tool. And keep in mind that, even though the Lions were no where near as desperate to get rid of Williams as the Cards are going to be to get rid of Boldin, Boldin is a considerably more accomplished receiver than is Williams at this point in their respective careers.

I would give up a 1st rounder no questions asked. I may be willing to throw on an incentive based draft pick for the 2010 season as well.

Makes you wonder if J. Jones had plans to ship T.O. out of town back then :)

LOL, yeah. That's a really good point. Although, Williams is quite unproven for all of those draft picks. It would be different if it was for someone with the accomplishment of Boldin.

And even if it does work out and Williams becomes a 1st team all-pro WR(something that is very possible), Jerry Jones is still a huge tool.

This would be interested. I don't think we'll get him but would be thrilled if we did. Only I wouldn't considering offering the Cards anything more than our 1st. If they want more, I'd take a gamble with Nicks who imo plays a lot like Boldin.

Thanks again for listing off the players on our roster for the millionth time. Your contribution of repeating the same thing over and over again are greatly appreciated.

That's very difficult to argue :) I actually think when his makeup is not done well that you can see the words "TOOL" imprinted on his forehead.

It's always great to watch him clinch his teeth on the sidelines when the Cowboys get eliminated from the Playoffs. The T. Romo botched FG was golden for that alone :)

Boldin is a no brainer. How can there be one person who's against this?

I'm against it. I love Boldin as a player but I wouldn't trade my draft for him and then have to pay him $9M/yr. Give a free agent contract to Torry Holt when/if he's cut. We can prolly get Holt for $5-6M and not give up any draft picks.

    I'd give a 1 and 3 for Calvin Johnson in a nanosecond.

Holt is 33 and has 1, maybe 2 solid seasons left to him and isn't nearly the player Boldin is at this stage.

Wow...what has been goin on on TGG? Are you saying he is not 'as' good as he used to be?

Give me a break guys...Jesus christ the guy just reached his prime and as soon as he does, he now becomes a 'not exactly a spring chicken anymore'? I don't care if you watch football or no, but its common sense. That age is the prime age. You play your best football around late 20s, early 30s.

    WOWWWW!!!!

We smashed the guy's face in last year; I don't think he would ever play for us.

Ive had Boldin on my fantasy team 3 years running and I have the sunday ticket so Ive watched wayyy too much Cardinal football recently. Not only is Boldin a number 1 receiver. Hes a huge target for any QB which is big considering our QB Situation. While he isnt a burner he is quick once he catches the ball and he is almost impossible to take down on first contact. I think his greatest value is in the red zone though. Inside the 10 yard line all Arizone does is snap the ball and throw it to Boldin on a slant or a 2 yard out and hes in the end zone seemingly every time.

No Boldin for me. He's a great WR but I'm not throwing multiple draft picks and huge money away when we don't even know if we have a competent QB on the roster.

Save the picks and cash and draft a WR or Chris Wells if he declares and is available (not sure if he declared or not already)

I kinda of have the feeling that the Eagles are gonna grab him. They have a shit load of cap space and their fan base is super pissed because they've been dumping everyone. This is a move that would make the fan base happy and keep pissy pants McNabb quite for a year.
