Talk about bold (and disastrous), thank God #4 would never happen. There's no way our D would give up more rushing yards than passing yards, I don't care how good our secondary is. Snacks, Mo and Richardson are 3 of the best run stoppers in the NFL, add in Harris, and I'm assuming Williams, and imo that's one thing we never have to worry about as long as those guys are here.
Our D is definitely talented, particularly against the pass, but I've got a bad feeling about the rush.
Never been a fan of Geno Smith, prob won't start now, even going back to college. Geno Smith has all the physical talent in the world, but I think he has a selective listening problem. Hope he proves me wrong, but 27TDs? LOL. It ain't bold, it's wishful thinking.
Is that just a gut feeling, or is there some reason for that? If it's the former, I hope it's just a bad case of indigestion! lol
Of course it's wishful thinking, at least as far as I'm concerned. I said as much. He definitely has some problem in getting his talent to consistently show at a high level. I don't know what it is. It could be "selective listening," poor football IQ/instincts, lack of confidence, lack of poise, but I do truly think that as much as anything that Rex Ryan and Marty Mornhinweg were a BIG part of his problem. I don't think they're good coaches. Period. I think we'll see a much different QB this season. It still may not be good enough for Bowles and Mac or to get us where we want, but I do think that if nothing else, Gailey can turn him into a quality backup QB.
MM wasn't a good fit for Geno Smith at all. I think Geno will def show more fight - I hope the lights turns on for the guy. Otherwise ... I do know one thing ... Geno would be a good back-up to Connor Cook no doubt about it - college football is right around the corner!
Sheldon Richardson and Muhammad Wilkerson tied for PFF's top grade for 3-4 DE run stopping, Damon Harrison was their 2nd graded run stuffing nose tackle and Leonard Williams was their top graded player against the run regardless of position for the NCAA last season. I have absolutely 0 concerns about this defense's ability to stop the run. On a scale of 1 to 10, my concern about pass defense is a 4 and my concern about run defense is a 1.
With Brady out the first four games I think New England misses the playoffs in 2015. AFC East will be decided between Miami and the Jets. Whoever wins the AFC East will represent the AFC in the Super Bowl.
1. Geno throws for 30 TDs on the back of a simpler plan, more weapons and less pressure because the D gives him great field position. 2. Jets make the play offs in a wildcard spot 3. Patriots miss the playoffs 4. Jets keep Mo but lose Sheldon
Byrce Petty emerges as a future franchise qb. Lorenzo Mauldin wins droy with 13.5 sacks and 5 forced fumbles. He also becomes the star of his own gif and a national hero when in wk 7 he hits Tom Br*dy so hard brady misses 3 wks with concussion and the pats miss the playoffs. The Jets become the team all the media keep asking about them is "how far can they go?"
