Smoked? He lost by about a foot. I think he could have made the tackle.

Mike Mayock is giving my boy AJ Jefferson some props after an amazing 44 inch vertical.

Jefferson was an incredibly inconsistent in coverage, but he's got great size and he's one of the best kick returners in the country.

Too bad they couldn't do the simulcast with Chris Johnson too. You saw Jacoby Ford and both of Mays' runs but it would be nice to see them up against Johnson at the same time.

If mays is covering Ford, using that video and their 40 times, Ford beat mays if an accurate QB is throwing to him.

That's enough space to get burned in the NFL.

That's why 4.43 and 4.28 is a very big gap when running the 40.

    That's unfortunate for him.

when usain bolt re-set his WR 100-meter time to 9.58, tyson gay ran something like 9.71 and everyone said he got smoked

mays was also .15 seconds slower than ford ... he got smoked

this is a track event, but if you want the football implications read what NDmick said

KSJets ... true indeed, it would have been sweet to see fords run up against cj's

Have you people ever watched the combine before? The unofficial times are always way off, it's the difference between a guy with a stop watch and a computer.

This year was nuts though. Many times are being questioned.

    You're right -MC-....something wasn't working...it was a mess, at least today.

It's always this way, ALWAYS. Unofficial 40 times are worth about as much as me sitting home with the stop watch on my phone. They never mean anything. It's why it's really pointless to judge 40s until the full lists come out, and at the same time so frustrating when the NFL withholds them as long as they do.

I agree, you can't judge unofficial times, but today there was huge discrepancies I've never seen in previous Combines.

Official times are often a few hundredths slower, but I agree about today.

Nearly 2 tenths off on Mays' 40 is insane.
