Why, thanks. I'd probably give you my vote for now, but there's another half year until the end of the "noob stage" for us and you never know what kind of great posters will come around. Nonetheless, you are a very intelligent poster.
wow didn't even think about you, NYM gets a good nomination 2...we've got a few good newbies on here...
He spent about 7-10 posts making up bullshit trade blocks just to bash and troll in the draft thread and then decided to pull out. If you go look up other boards and their GM mock drafts they have trades going on far worse then what we have. Most notably I remember finheaven.com's mock draft last year had us trading Jonathan Vilma and a few other starting players. We did not trade one key player from any team (even though NYJATW shopped Ed Reed... but that's a trade I would have turned down unless he got a top 10 pick in return). That's what you see in a normal GM draft... because without them you just get: Texans- Bush Saints- Ferg Titans- Leinart Jets- Williams Packers- Hawk 49ers- Davis ... and we're all better off doing our own seperate mock drafts in that case.
I like KingDavid88, he only has 20 posts. But all of his posts are actually about the Jets and have some insight.
I disagree. His posts aren't very clear and he apparently doesn't pay too much attention to the little details (spelling and punctuation). I would select the guys I've named already or New York Mick over him in a heartbeat.
It's early... like last year we had Death By Jets show up late in the year yet he made a lot of great posts and instantly became a favorite.
I THOUGHT about givin him up for plenty of players...Ed Reed for a 1st round pick, 2nd round pick, and a starter...how is that a BS trade? Anything is possible my friend...and besides..who cares how realistic it is...it's about who can get the best team. Just don't trade 1 player for a whole team...that's not fair obviously.
Almost 600 posts and 2 suspensions in your resume, even one of those suspensions lasted 1 month. That's really impressive for a rookie.
Class is now in session....please take your seat...... There are no rules in place saying I can't state my opinion. I don't appreciate it when someone (much less a 17-year old!) thinks they can tell me what I can and can not do based soley on their post count. Like I've said earlier, I'm making suggestions for OTHER ROTY candidates. Not mentioning myself. That would be (IMO) classless. I said...."I would select the guys I've named already or New York Mick over him in a heartbeat." Where's the crime in voicing my opinion on whom I feel would be worthy of winning the award? Like I said, I am in NO way attempting to sell myself. Your holier than thou attitude towards the "newbie" is growing extremely tiring. Some food for thought: Why don't you try judging people by their actual POSTS instead of their post COUNT? I've said my peace.....you are dismissed. Disclaimer: There are a plethora of teenage posters on this board who I have nothing but the utmost respect for. They conduct themselves in a very classy manner and have proven to be very knowledgeable about both the Jets and football in general. This post is in no way directed towards them.
I think the biggest bit of praise the new posters can get is when they aren't really considered newbies. I know that when I see some of the guy's mentioned so far post, I don't think twice. For example, because his post is right above mine, with EvilClownFace, I just think of him as if he'd been around for years, because that's the way he conducts himself. If he was making dumb threads like "WHO WILL DA J-E-T-S DRAFT??!?" every day, then I'd call him a newbie. He's not though, he just does his thing, like all posters should. Also, I will say that I notice most of Amaru's posts because of his signature (I too love Zooey Deschanel), and he is a quality poster.
