I feel your pain bro, I had the Colts and got lucky as fuck. Horrible call on the Manning hit. Had the Chiefs and thought I had a winner till the Raiders made a first down on a tipped ball on 4th down, unreal.. Oh well, I'll take the push in the afternoon; had Balt. and Det. in the am.
You got 6.5 on the Bungles? Damn... that's a great line. I got em' at only 5; bet them about an hour before kickoff. Good thing I hammered the over and made a few bucks on the game.
well, normal books did not have Cincy that high. Sportsbook.com sometimes has wacky lines and they're irrelevant to me, because they are untrustworthy. I would never deposit my money there. There are hundreds of cases of them stealing from their customers. If you haven't been stolen from yet, consider yourself lucky. At every top-rated offshore sportsbook, the MNF line went as follows: open at Pittsburgh -4.5. Stayed mostly steady at that number until Monday morning, when money came pouring in on Pitt. It peaked at Pitt -6 early Monday afternoon, and then from 5-7 PM, the number was bet back down to 5, where it closed. So some so-called "wise guys" got Cincinnati +6 and Pittsburgh -4.5, for a middle opportunity. In this case, it landed on 6, so they got a push on one bet and a win on the other.
Do you have a recommended place for placing bets online? I haven't been able to even get money betus or sportsbook because my bank won't allow it with my TDBank Visa card. Suggestions?
In my opinion, the best American sportsbooks are 5 Dimes (5dimes.com), Diamond (2betdsi.com), and Bet Jamaica (betjamaica.com). Also, you can check out sportsbookreview for their ratings on other books you may be interested in. They're the only site I know of that does reasonable sportsbook rankings (other sites just promote whichever books pay them money), and they do a poster's poll several times a year where posters rank sportsbooks. Standings for most recent poll.
never had a problem with sportsbook....then again, i've never had 5 figure payouts or anything crazy like that. usually just about 1k-2k at a time. some people have had problems with them from what i just read, others none. may move my money now that i started googling and reading reviews after my next withdrawal they've been pretty good about customer service though and what not....even canceled a duplicate bet one time i made on a mobile site that double bet it. (i lost that bet, btw)
All I can say is that they're D- for a reason. I've never played there, of course, but I've heard from people who have had experience with them through the SBR messageboard. sportsbook.com and BetUS advertise a ton and get a lot of people there who don't know about their histories of shady activity. The good sportsbooks like 5 Dimes and DSI don't advertise as much. 5 Dimes has reduced vig, by the way, which is one of the reasons I rate it highest.
liking that Titans +9.5 hoping its 10.5 the place i go though. Hmmm I would love to have the Thursday game in my parlay but I would be pissed if my ticket was blown before Sunday! I think the Ravens will win but Matt Ryan is 17-1 at home. Don't see how you could go wrong with the 9 or 11 points from either team, should be close the whole 60 minutes.
Roddy white is banged up. He will go probably but not much time to rest. That's huge. No way the ravens lose by mlre than 10, if at all
Got the overs last week but lost heavy on Pats but that serves me right!! I really like the Ravens this week and will be taking the line and the points. Also going for jets / over in Pats game and titans.
Sounds good to me. The Rams defense has been great all season and have only given up more then 18 points once so far this season (44 to the Lions) so taking 6 points isn't bad especially against a 49er team that hasn't had any consistency at all this year! Definitely taking them on my teasers.
I love the Texans this week. They're due, Jags are horrible laying points and Del Rio only 2-5 ATS off the bye. Like Tenn. over the Fish this week too. Miami is trending downward IMO and Tenn. is decent off the bye. Henne is playing like shit too, rumors are he's on a short leash.
that's the most difficult thing about sports betting. If I could tell you which way lines were going to move, I wouldn't even need to handicap games. All I do is guess which way it'll move, and I'm not sure here.
If your going all in on the Rams, you should probably take it now because you don't want that 6.5 spread to dip below 6 because 3.5 points is just as good as 5.5 especially in a game like this where the outcom will be by 3, 6, or 7 points likely. Basically they are saying with the home field advantage (+3) that the 49ers are 3.5 point favorites which is a little high consiering how the season has gone for both teams. But i think this is a good week to parlay teams and while the Rams are a good bet this week, i can't imagine the Titans not covering their spread. Which is still at -1.5 even though the Dolphins have stated that Pennington will stat this week! I hope that line is still like that 2morrow when i place my bets!
Home field advantage is larger for some teams. The Rams and 49ers would be among that group of teams. 3 points is just an estimate, but the line adjustment can be larger or smaller. 3.5 is not just as good as 5.5. The points in between are obviously less valuable than the 6, 6.5, and 7, but games do land on 4 and 5. I can find you a number just from this season.
Yeah thats the point i was making, the 4 and 5 point games are very less likely then 3, 6, 7, and 10 point games. I still think that if the line on the 49ers/Rams change it will b in the 49ers favor because most betters will take the Rams, so sites and bookies will lower that spread to try and get people to put some action on the 49ers.
I'm going to take the +220 ML on St. Louis tonight. It's just too good of an offer and I don't wanna wait only to have it go lower.
