And the clock struck 12 on Folk Other options need to be brought in during this 10 day break. To not do so is a disgrace and detriment to the team. He is a downhill ball gaining negative momentum. Jeff Reed (who won SB's with Pittsburgh) got cut. The reality is you have to do what is right by the team. Rex has to consider the fact this guy is imploding right before our eyes. 5 missed FG's in 3 the last 3 weeks.....and counting.
Is there any doubt this game comes down to the end? The Bengals? The team that basically quit on the year. What are we doing on offense? Why aren't we putting Holmes in motion.....or in the slot.....to release him and get him the ball in space? Defense is playing fine, but as usual, no blitz = no pass rush. Except when Gholston almost sacked Palmer in the end zone. Schotty basically better take his beloved game plan and toss it in the shitter. And come out firing. They get the ball first. And we need TD's!! It's obvious it's 50-50 at best on FG's with Folk who has lost it just like last year. Kicking tryouts should start Saturday.
Actually I think we get the ball first I better see a whole new team in the 2nd half. Just like NE came out and pasted Detroit in the 2nd half, we better unload. geez, can we please start playing like a SB contender instead of talking ourselves up as one? These are the Bengals!! There isn't one position I'd take one of their guys over ours! Not one! Oh wait, I forgot, except kicker of course.
That's a nice start Hope Rex kicked schotty in the nuts at half and said "Touch downs! I want touch downs!"
The Jets are a second half team. When you learn this, the first 30 minutes will not bother you, just like they mean nothing to me. I'd still like them to start fast, and if they do they should blow teams out. Buffalo comes to mind. They scored 17 in the 1st half. But this is who they are. Deal with it.
Jets DST: 36.3 points for me, ahhhhh, beautiful. Great game for D & ST. Offense wasn't too great, but oh well, still won. Next week we need everything to work.
Yup, Sanchez had a bad game and the offense wasn't great as a whole but thankfully the defense and Brad Smith picked them up. This is the kind of win I expected to see more of coming into the season.
C. Palmer 17/38 135 yards 3.6 AVG 1 TD 2 INT 41.0 RTG C. Ochocinco 0/1 0 yards 0.0 AVG 0 TD 0 INT 39.6 RTG Ocho throws 1 incomplete pass and he nearly matches Palmer in QB rating. Weird but funny.
Rex just threw his wife under the bus for not making him green bean casserole today. I understand - it's one of my favorites too.
Cincinnati Passing - 17/39 for 135, 1TD and 2 INTs Rushing - 20 rushes for 46 yards Returns - 10 for 99 yards Jets Passing - 16/28 for 166 1TD and 1 INT Rushing - 37 rushes for 170 Returns - 8 for 135 and 1 TD
I still didn't see the Bengals player touch the ball on that punt. I would be pissed if I was a Bengals fan, but the Lewis didn't even challenge so that's that.
That was the best defensive game the Jets have played this season. If that's the unit we're gonna see the rest of the year, look out NFL.
