Try to keep in mind Shipley and Gresham can catch the ball too. This is an excellent offensive team but have been terrible on D, the Bills just shredded them last week.
So is Revis on Ocho or TO??? With the way TO has been for this team I might have to say Revis on TO and let Cro handle the less physical Ocho.
I am worried about this game. It has trap written all over it. Coming off that great win + a short week + the bengals suck, the Jets might come out flat and uninspired. I sure hope Rex kicks their asses this week and motivates them to crush the bengals.
I'd almost do it the other way around for your same reasoning. But considering the last few games, I'm less concerrned with their WR's and more concerned with TE. UGH!
I'd be more worried about being flat if we didn't blow that lead against the Texans. Calling for a blowout after Rex lights a fire under their asses.
I'm a little nervous after what the jets did to them last year in week 17/playoffs and now that TO called the entire team out. I think they all play motivated and pull out all the stops - onside kicks, trick plays, illegal/dirty hits - to win.
We know this Bengal team pretty well and have played well against teams we know this year. Plus Rex is super pissed about yesterdays defensive let down. I have a good feeling..
The Bengals have played everybody tough so far. They lost to Indy by 6, Pittsburgh by 6, Miami by 8, Atlanta by 7, Tampa Bay by 3, and most importantly... they beat the Ravens in Week 2 (I think we lost to them didn't we?). They also scored 31 points against the Bills before their defense imploded. The Jets should take this game very seriously, because the Bengals have some weapons to hurt you with and they've got nothing left to play for but spoiler. Who knows if a loss to the Bengals will be the one thing that costs the Jets the division when it's all over? Better not look past the Bengals this week... better not look past ANYBODY the way this team is playing right now.
I don't think Revis or Cro will match up on either specifically, but play all over the place. It's a huge advantage to have a home game on Thursday, they have even less time to prepare. They are mentally ruined this season, and we ruined them twice last season. Cotch and Woody are probably out, but they have way more injuries than us. I'm expecting that comfortable win we've been waiting for since Buffalo....and then 11 days to get ready for the game of the year Monday Night in Foxboro.
The answer is obvious. Have Revis and Cro double up the TE. Wilson covers Ocho and Lowery covers TO. VICTORY BABY
According to beat writers twitter accounts, Revis said he will be covering T.O. Cromartie will be covering Ochocinco. Kind of surprised, but Owens has been having a big year so I guess the Jets consider him the bigger threat. Plus he is more physical so I guess they want Revis to handle that while Cro covers the more finesse receiver?
Nah.. That's Memorial day.. I thought I started seeing TDay stuff in stores a bit after Labor Day. I know I saw it being stocked after Columbus Day. Man, pretty soon we'll be seeing Tday stuff being put out after July 4th and Xmas sales will last thru Easter and start again on Veteran's Day.
Bengals will let Jets march up and down the field all day. Jets won't let Cincy score. BOOM. Headshot. :rofl2: (I don't know why that's getting me as hilarious today...it just IS)
