The long-range forecast for Foxboro on Sunday is a few showers, high of 47, so he might not need the fleece vest.

Belichick's quote is still cold, he's speaking the same way he always has except he threw in the words "Eric" and "Mangini." There's no indication of the familiarity between these two men in Belichick's words. I do not expect him to speak of Mangini the way he speaks of Nick Saban.

Good move on Belichick's part, as several here have already said. You don't win three Super Bowls by being stupid.

I hardly think that Belichick saying mangini's name is anything to start celebrating about

Don't forget now. They ripped out all the natural grass at the Razor, so it's the field turf.

So I assume there is a rule that states that a team cannot change it's "field type" in the middle of the season. Now that you mention it that rule (if there is one) seems like a good idea.

False. Please post a link where that is stated by the NFL.

It's illegal to switch playing conditions in the middle of the year, I don't have a rulebook on me now douchebag. Once everything is set up at the beginning of the year you can't change it, it could give you an unfair advantage.

the jets and giants were prevented from doing this in 2002 when the field was an absolute mess. how kraft got away with this i have no idea. probably got a hefty fine. mora got away with a cell phone on the sidelines and owens with his sharpie...

Allan1, please refrain from the name calling.

As I understand it, that report was reported as false earlier in the year. I read about and watched it on NFL Total Access, where they cleared up what they referred to as the 'misconception' of that rule.

I think he only said it because, Mangini said "New England" instead of "the other place"

Though I agree with JT being a very average, or below average analyst, what was so inflammatory about what he wrote?

Virtually everything I have been watching (a lot of NFL Network) has been very pro-Jets.

Maybe it had something to do with the season finally being over or something. Heck, IDK.

I believe the only loser is Cleveland when they lost to Pittsburgh but held a huge lead.

The 3 winners would be Pitt beating Cincy last year, St Louis beating the Seahawks in 04 and the Vikings beating the Packers in the infamous Randy Moss moon game.

Coincidently 2002 was the last year the Jets and Giants were in the playoffs together and the Jets whipped the Colts 41-0 and the Giants lost to San Fran in the botched FG game.

BTW F Belly, all he s doing is playing mind games. That's ok because he'll be using Mangini's name alot more followed by explitives when we beat them this Sunday.
