Look at the Pats '01 SB roster and you will see about 7-8 contributing players that were brouth over from the Jets. by the way, I have zero problem w/ the way Kraft hired Belichick. It was sneaky but we did the same thing so we can't complain about that.
Because in 1999, Parcell's knew that Beli was on Kraft's list to replace Carroll, so Tuna "retired" with not ever telling any of his intentions to his assistant coaches, forcing the Jet's head job to Beli. Word has it that when Beli heard the news he started to throw things in his office. To this day I believe that if Kraft was not seeking Beli for the HC, Parcells would have coached another season with the Jets.

its not about a handshake....a mans only as good as his word...that was something my father ingrained in me fromwhen i was little. a handshake agreement or not...he told hess he would stay, and took the $...then when leon died, he pulled one of the biggest bitch move of all time (as far as the organization goes). and fax or no fax...he was going to be the next HC. thats the way it was to be from the moment he got there as DC.
i don't know why belichick would ever hate the Jets. without Mo Lewis, Bledsoe would probably still be the QB.
how exactly was he prevented? he became the pats HC did he not? the organization was made to compensate his former employer. see, when you sign this thing called a contract (pronounced KON-TRACKT) you have a responsibility to live up to your end, as does the organization. when either party fails to, thats what they call breach of contract. then, one party defaults, and must pay restitution. in this case, it was the pats were the ones paying said restitution.

Man oh man. Last night I had a dream the Jets beat the Pats and Belicheck ran off the field avoiding Mangini all together.
Belechick falls asleep on New Years Rumor has it that the relationship between Beli and the Jets worsened on New Years Eve when Bill called Mangini a Firecroch and had him thrown out of Club Pure. Mangini was seen leaving with Paris and Nicole. Apparently Beli drank one too many Zimas and "fell asleep". He was last seen being carried into a hotel room by Wilmer Valderama.
