He has the talent, but he just hasn't dominated the same since his rookie year. Boldin gets about 40-50 yards a game, and maybe a touchdown...and you can't blame it on the QB, because he had worse QB's throwing him the ball and less talent surrounding him earlier in his career.
He's as good as he ever was. I know this because I watch Cardinals game so long as they don't conflict with Jets games. This year he has 33 catches for 355 yards and 5 TDs in 5 games. His best season was not his rookie season. His 2005 stats are almost identical to his rookie numbers, but he accomplished them in two fewer games. He caught 14 passes for 181 yards against Baltimore this year.
Well, Bobby Engram (who?), caught 14 passes for 139 and a TD yesterday...does that make him good? If a WR catches the ball 14 times in a game, he should have those kind of numbers. I'm not trying to say that Boldin isn't a good player, because I know that he is, I was just trying to prove to that guy that Florida State doesn't spit out AS MUCH talent as he thinks.
I think there is a difference between the Ravens defense and the Browns defense. I don't have much interest in the FSU debate, but I would probably side with you. I only wanted to respond to the Boldin issue and on that specific portion of your debate I feel you are off.
No they don't...Florida State has beaten won pretty good Boston College team. FSU and the ACC (with the exception of BC, Clemson, VT, and UVA) are weak and YOU need to face the facts. You are a Florida State homer, and you refuse to realize that the team isn't good anymore, and the Big East is going to surpass the ACC in talent by next season...and it should stay that way. I'm waiting for one of your stupid Geno Hayes comments.
Im done arguing with your stupid ass, you have proven time and again you clearly know nothing (need not look further then ur boldin comment which got you called out). See ya toolbag.
Actually there's a lot more people on my side in this...a lot of guys on this board think that the Big East is better than the ACC now. That Boldin comment wasn't really thought out, but I still think his play has dropped off a little. Florida State sucks. Bobby Bowden is done.
i don't think the big east is as good as the ACC. While we won't be able to tell until bowl season i honestly believe that the ACC is the better overall conference. While i have no reason other than opinion, just take a look at the top teams in the big east and compare them to the top teams in ACC, middle teams, etc. I think the ACC comes out on top. NOTE: i'm not an ACC homer, i actually like the Big east and i'm enjoying the success they are having, save for WVU (my dad actually played at UConn)
There is only one really bad team in the Big East and that's Syracuse. The ACC has NC State, North Carolina (on the rise with Butch Davis) and Duke. I think they match up pretty evenly. In a few years, I think the Big East will be more powerful. ACC Boston Coll. | 8-1 (Great QB surrounded by a good team) Clemson | 7-2 (Good team, but very shaky. Dominant running back tandem.) Florida St. | 6-3 (Bowl eligable, but with wins over UAB, NC State, Duke, and Colorado..also some good wins over Bama and BC.) Maryland | 4-5 (Terrible offense, but they beat Rutgers) N.C. State | 4-5 (...just bad) Wake Forest | 6-3 (Successful team, that does a lot with the lower talent-level players they bring in) Duke | 1-8 (ALWAYS BAD) Georgia Tech | 5-4 (Terrible offense, great defense) Miami (FL) | 5-4 (They were supposed to turn it around...but I guess not) North Carolina | 3-6 (They be a scary program in a few years.) Virginia | 8-2 (Al Groh has done a terrific job at UVA) Virginia Tech | 7-2 (Overall, the most talented team in the ACC) Big East Cincinnati | 6-2 (Killed EVERYONE early in the season, but dropped two games to Big East teams late) Connecticut | 8-1 (Prett easy schedule. Only loss is two UVA, 16-17) Louisville | 5-4 (Overrated early, but their only "bad" loss is to a bad 'Cuse team...they have talent on offense, but the defense is the problem) Pittsburgh | 4-5 (Just a notch above 'Cuse, but WAY better than Duke and NC State) Rutgers | 5-4 (Schiano has this team climbing to the top, they have a lot of CLOSE losses this year) South Florida | 6-2 (Started off hot, but now they've cooled off...should have a good recruiting year in Florida, stealing some guys away from FSU and Miami) Syracuse | 2-7 ('Cuse brings in talent with recruiting, but they never seem to develop...they'll be at the bottom until they make some coaching changes) West Virginia | 7-1 (Overrated? I don't think so. This is arguably THE BEST offense in college football. They're only going to get better especially if Slaton stays for his senior year...Pat White and Noel Devine should be fine without him though)
Boston Coll. | 8-1 (Great QB surrounded by a good team) I'd go along with that. I just bought a BC cap off ebay , the guys surname is Ryan......is Matty boy that hard up???
