Ball was clearly Out of bounds. It's a safety though

 

That was incredibly awkward-looking TD. I think the first person who tipped it back into the endzone was already lying out of bounds.

 

That play was fucking nuts on about 6 different levels.

It looked to me like the Hawk who kept it in was on his back out of bounds when he knocked it back in, which would make it a touchback, I believe.

 

I don't think he was the one that tipped it. Some other guy leaped in, I think

 

The only question is whether the guy who knocked it back inbounds was out of bounds. The guy who recovered it had possession and got 2 feet down. What a wild play.

There was a guy lying on the ground, with half his body OoB, and tipped the ball back into the endzone.

EDIT: After the replay, I see what you meant by the other guy leaping in. My bad.

 

It's a saftey. That will be worse for Dallas if Seattle goes on to score a TD.

That's actually a much better turn of events for the Seahawks. They can scratch a two point lead out of this with only minutes left for Dallas to get a field goal. God help them if they have to rely on Grammatica.

Yep, it was actually clear. I thought touchback because I forgot that the ball was behind the goal line when the guy out of bounds touched the ball.

 

What's the point of the "free kick"? Why don't they just let them do a normal kickoff?

 

I guess because a free kick gives you the ball a lot further up than most kickoffs, so the team that got the 2 points gets an additional advantage.

 

It's a measure of adding an advantage to the team that got the safety.
