Babineaux isn't exactly Warren Sapp there...he's probably between 200-210 himself. Grammatica didn't have to pancake the guy...just knock him a bit off track or slow him down slightly. Any little bit probably could've gotten Romo the little extra he needed. Personally, I'm happy we were spared Grammatica's celebration.
if gramatica had of missed the field goal he wouldnt be at dallas next year....now will romo still be there?
He's got ball handling problems, and he looked like a broken man at the end of the game. He's done if there's a new coach at Dallas, and I honestly believe there's no better than a 60% chance even if Parcells stays.
I was thinking "Ben Graham" when Romo spilled that snap for the field goal. Those balls must be very slippery.
Romo is done. Nobody from Eastern Illinois can be an athletic star except Kevin Duckworth. Dallas needs a QB for next year because Drew Bledsoe will be gone too.
No, Ben Graham has been a fine holder, except for a couple of hiccups in two consecutive weeks. Romo has chronic butterfingers.
i saw one of grahams fumbles...at least he had the excuse that it was pissin down rain in miami and he wasnt wearing gloves after that fumble he wore gloves to hold and was fine
It is amazing how the pride of Port Arthur, Texas, Jonathan Babineaux, made huge plays in each of the last two Cowboys-Seahawks games. (See first post in thread.)
I'm not going to say his career is over, but it sure did take a bad hit tonight. Man, what a way to end the season. A botched FGA set-up. And to think if Romo held onto that ball he could have gotten the 1st down and possibly a hero. See how things can quickly change? Man, I'd love to see how Romo is feeling right now.
Yea. It's not that he lost, it's that he completely folded afterwards. I mean, this is Parcells we're talking about; if he's still in Dallas, he's never gonna trust this kid again. I'm not sure he ever did in the first place.
I would be completely shocked if Romo is not with the Cowboys next season. He will be back and will probably be the Week 1 starter (I only say "probably" in case he gets injured in camp.) ____ Joe Pisarcik botched a handoff to Larry Csonka while trying to run out the clock against the Eagles on 11-19-78. The fumble was recovered by Herman Edwards. He returned the fumble for an Eagles TD and improbable win. Pisarcik was back at QB for the Giants the following season and he was nowhere near as talented as Romo.
Did Pisarcik drop the ball multiple times in the previous four games? My guess is that Romo's inherent psychological weakness under pressure manifested in the biggest game of his life, but not for the first time.
