We don't need Asante Samuel.. he's going to cost a shit-ton of money and for us he isn't worth it. We need another cb, but assuming Revis continues to progress, settling for even a decent back should work out fine. ur so kool i bett u get lade erry day playyaaa
...sorry that I disagree with you. You're just wrong about Chris Long and Glen Dorsey. You don't have to go into other threads and bring me into some stupid shit. Learn how to spell dawg, quit spittin' dem nevbeats.
Every year it seems someone overpays for someone the Patsies won't pay. Then they go somewhere else and are shown to be pretty average. I don't see Deon Branch doing much for Seattle. I don't want the Jets to fall into that trap. Samuel is good but he is going to want to break the bank. We have too many holes to fill to overpay for him. Let someone else overpay.
The Jets have match-up problems against any team that has an offensive line. Unfortunately, every team in the NFL has an offensive line, and adding another DB won't solve the defenses problems.
gotta admit i agree with the negative vibes for samuel..... go look at the broncos and see what their record is. it all starts in the trenches. the cost far outweighs the benefits here. if the jets did have samuel and revis - the front 7 of the d would be lagging the secondary by at least 2 years - by that time revis will be gone from his 4 year hold and we are back to square 1. the CB position can be plugged in the FA market - only if you have a young stud on the opposite side AND you have at least a competitive and improving front seven..... the jets meet the 1st spot but hardly meet the second and it will take a minimum of 2 offseasons to even sniff at a top 10 front 7. jil
