Houston is horrible this season. I can't totally kill O'Brien, they never gave him a QB. It's easy to mismanage that position when you don't have a good player on the roster at that position. Glad we get this team on the schedule, they are dead in the water. I feel for JJ Watt, he can only keep a happy face for so long this season. And it's not like he is going to ever demand a trade. Wasting his prime right now.

Funny thing is, if JJ Watt wanted a trade, we'd very likely be one of the VERY, VERY few teams (if any) that probably wouldn't inquire.

Hoyer just won himself the starting job. There is no way they can go back to Mallett. There is also no reason we shouldn't sweep the AFC South since we already beat Indy. That division is ASS

It's weird because I thought Mallett looked pretty good before getting knocked out.

That whole situation is a mess.

He did look good but lets also not forget the Colts secondary is garbage. You can put Brooks Bollinger at the helm and he can complete passes to Hopkins in 1v1 coverage vs those DBs

Hoyer blew it though with that goddamned awful Geno Smith/Mark Sanchez like decision late though and O'Brien looked rightfully pissed. Admittedly I didn't watch pretty much all of the game though, just that last garbage tossup so I am probably biased.

there was a hell of a lot of great sports options on the TV last night. you gotta REALLY love the NFL to watch that game last night when its not your favorite team. My hat's off to you

Not sure who calls the shots in Houston, but passing on Derek Carrr at the top of round 2/not attempting to trade up for Bridgewater was silly . I think he has a say in some of these decisions... that 9-7 record was fools gold last season. Regardless, his handling of the QBS has been embarrassing.

He deserves all this. He's a supposed QB guru but he couldn't see how Tom Savage, a high draft pick from the year before, was out playing both Hoyer and Mallet (and it wasn't even close). They didn't even consider Savage in the camp competition, threw him behind 4th string lineman to get murdered and he got knocked out for the year with a shoulder injury. For perspective, imagine if in next years camp the situation I described happens with us and Petty (apt comparison b/c Savage was the first pick in the 4th). O'Brien is a jackass.

Who do we want to win and lose for Play off calculations? Or is it too early?

Every AFC team to lose. Every division team to lose. In terms of the Baltimore v Cleveland game, we want Cleveland because if we tie them we beat them H2H
