Yeah which is nearly impossible in the split second you have to make a tackle. I'm actually shocked that with the new rules we haven't seen more gruesome knee injuries with safeties diving at the offensive players knees (in particular tightends and big receivers like Calvin, Marshall, etc.). And if they were to start doing that I don't think I'd blame them. What is the league going to do, make it so you can't tackle high or low?
Johnny Football is beating kansas city this week. Just one of those gut feelings. I hope they show the scores or updates during the game on sunday. the crowd will go crazy if it's in our favor
I don't think there's any question that he hasn't been the problem the last 6 years, but it does seem that he hit his peak and is slowly on his way down. I get the feeling that he is going to end up with a Marino-lite career - gaudy numbers, early team success, but ultimately mostly forgotten in discussions of the best of his era (or in Marino's case, best of all time, since he was clearly among the best of his era).
Jackson running backwards like an idiot again. and the telecast keeps quoting Jackson, that he doesn't want to be "selfish" and talk about Chip Kelly is there a more selfish player than Jackson? Is there a dumber player than Jackson?
I wish there was a stat (and I bet there is) that calculates how many yards WR's lose when they do those dumb backwards moves thinking they will exploit the defense and pick up another 40. It would be great if these guys would realize the odds of them picking up a huge chunk of yardage on a play like that isnt exactly in their favor.
lol Ian Eagle and the screen just disagreed twice screen says season-long 54 for Hopkins, Eagle says 52 Eagles says 36 to FG range, screen says 35
Redskins look like a totally different team. If they win tonight, they could be dangerous in the playoffs.
Did the officials just screw up a fake spike attempt? Strange sequence of events here. Now Cousins takes a knee. WTF is going on out there?
I guess it was just going to be a lob to the end zone since the clock was stopped anyway. Bizarre ending to the half.
eagles did everything they could to give Washington a score here, have two long passes down the sideline and we'll let you get out of bounds clock running out when you're in FG range? We'll knock the ball away from you for a 5 yard penalty (essentially giving Washington a fourth timeout) but Cousins is like, nah, that's ok
Seriously...I guess he didn't want to chance a pass in the endzone and forgot he didn't have a timeout? But then why not try to call a timeout if that was the rationale?
