I believe the 25th is the majic date... I would love to know if any teams have experssed any intrest in trading for him.
If Sanchez is half the player a few guys here believe, shouldn't we be hearing noise about a handful of teams shaking the Jet's tree for him?
The Jets are completely screwing over Sanchez right now, by not releasing him. All his possible landing spots are drying up. If they are going to keep him, fine, but if they are going to release him (which I expect) it is only fair to give him a chance to find a team. Looks like the Raiders are more and more likely his destination.
Just because WE have not been hearing anything doesn't mean teams haven't inquired. Or that they have. A few weeks ago there was some scuttle-butt that a few teams were looking at him as a potential starter. And posters like you scoffed at it. Now that there is silence, posters like you are scoffing once again. Interesting. I guess we'll all believe what we want to, until something happens. Or doesn't. And then we'll still believe our own narrative as to why it happened the way it did or didn't. _
No one will trade for him with his contract. They know the jets have two choices re-work or cut. Team will be looking to him as a backup option or a option to work with a top draft pick. Clevelana, Houston, Minnestoa, Oakland, Jax, Buff, will all be looking to pick him up if he is dropped. I think that with Vick saying he is going to wait and see the jets really have to re-work his deal before the 25th and see how 2014 goes with Smith and Sanchez. I would be perfectly fine with that.
Save your breath--Sanchez haters know this, they just like to trot out the "nobody is looking at Sanchez because he sucksbuttfumbleheadbandlowestQBRdogshitblahblahblah" instead of admitting the reality of the contract coupled with the injury coupled with missing the entire 2013 season coupled with the awful 2012 season. End of the day he'll either restructure and stay or get cut and be picked up as a backup with the chance to compete in 2015. _
Agree 100% there will be no straight up trades, but we haven't heard a thing like "the xxxx's are interested in Sanchez if he's released" or "the yyyyy's are considering cutting their backup Joe Schmoe if Mark Sanchez comes available as expected" or the "zzzzz's have asked the Jets for permission to talk to the Sanchez camp in anticipation of his release." There haven't even been any totally ridiculous unfounded rumors.
But there were. About 3 weeks ago. Do those not count because they don't fit with your narrative? Honest question. _
So right now as we speak there's nothing out there suggesting the possibility of Sanchez getting cut?
Teams rumored to be interested - raiders, bills, seahawks, vikings -- those are the ones that came out as stories on sites.
There is, his cost is to much, Idzik has yet to say much about it. Its entirely possible he restructures or gets cut and resigned.
I think we'll sign Vick later this month and then cut Sanchez. If Vick goes elsewhere and the other options are too pricey or is already signed already. I can see Sanchez staying.
I odn't think they would take a $4.8 then resign when they can redo the deal and only have $1.6 count plus the deal and have the opportunity to trade/cut next seaosn
These have been rumored quite consistently for a while. Yet some--let's not call them haters but rather Sanchez "questioners" will continue to ask--where are all the rumors? Too funny. _
LOL, so someone asked about the lack of rumors, someone trots out the rumors floating around and now someone asks for sources. Too funny. _
