Guys I have terrible news. I got a kitten and named it Rex right before week 1 of the NFL and today she got hit by a car. After being really upset the only thing i could think of is how its a bad omen for the jets.
Already have a beard but haven't cut my hair since Indy. I'm beginning to look like Lon Chaney in the Wolfman.
playoff beard fully grown in, even though my job frowns on facial hair. little do they know i am coming in with under eye black paint on friday..... game on
I already had my beard since my third son was born, and I always shape it up on Monday. Friday through Sunday it's all scruffy.
ok this is what we do,go to the north shore animal league and get a new rex. yup get us a new kitten. do you need a donation???
Sadly, I have a baby face and can't pull off a beard, but I haven't had a haircut since Indy and it is getting super long. Actually only 1 haircut since August.
oh no hmy: sorry to hear about little REX, but 17a has the right idea! If the JETS lose I will be thinking about this now......
http://www.adoptapet.com/ 1st rex got us to the playoffs and 2 victories in sorry to say old rex 9 lives ran out. new rex brings us to the promise land and has 2 victories in him
my wife hates the beard more than anything thankfully she is also a die hard jets fan and understands the circumstances...
I have been growing a beard since new years.... unfortunately i am currently applying to jobs, and have a girlfriend who is pissed. Not sure i can make it till sunday..... I believe Rexy can overcome the loss of my playoff beard.
I can't grow a beard. It looks like trying to grow grass in your garage. I always sport the goatee. My contribution has been the password change. I'm sorry it's not a visual dedication, I just don't like looking like a douche.
Well, I feel bad for you and that kitten, but I don't know about a bad omen. The Monday before the Wildcard game, I pulled into my spot at work and noticed a couple of huge black birds up on the roof of my building. When I was walking up, I thought they were hawks or eagles because of their size, but I googled it and they are in fact a pair of ravens. At first, I thought nothing of it. Then the tiny spot inside of me that still carries some sort of superstitious idea in it thought that it may mean that the Ravens would go all the way. The next day, those 2 ravens started getting belligerent, going to the window ledges and pecking at their reflections, I assume they thought it was a pair of ravens trying to steal their digs or something. Of course, that small superstitious part of me got a little bigger when the Baltimore Ravens crushed the Pats the next weekend. I got to work last Monday and those suckers were just as belligerent, honking and squawking and making a show of it. I thought for sure that the Ravens would win it all then. Saturday's Colts/Balt game made me wonder. So I get to work yesterday and... there's no sign of the ravens. But I just ran out to my car about 10 minutes ago to get a couple of things, and my buddies are back out there, honking and squawking and being pretty... damned... aggressive. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm... I think they are a good sign after all.
