Only if it was week 17 and the Jets needed the steelers to lose in order to get the bye period the end.:finssuck::steelers:
I'm debating going to the Chargers - Patsies game on Sunday and rooting for SD. I don't have shit to do on Sunday.
This thread was an order of magnitude funnier before the mods changed the thread title. Boooooo Mods Hoooray Red Stripe Hooooray Beer

AS a 40+ year old Jets fan it is hard to say this, but I will be cheering for Miami this week. The Steelers are getting way too much praise and they need to be taken down a notch.
The only time I will route for Miami is if Miami is losing 56-0 and Henne is driving them 90 yards down the field the last minute of the game. You can be sure I will be routing for Henne to throw a pick 6, so the 50 fans left can die of a heart attack. So yeah I can Ruth for the Fins...lol
The Fins can suck a fat dick. I can't believe any Jets fan would be rooting for them during Week fuckin 7. *facepalm*
Wont be rooting for them, but I think its definitely favorable for us if the Steelers lose. Because lets be honest Miami is NOT making the playoffs. Their wins all came up against beat up teams. You got Aaron Rodgers 1 hit from a coma, Bret Favre coming off surgery with absolutely no WRs, the Bills etc etc. Not to mention we all know what theyre made of when push comes to shove. When its crunch time for them to make the wild card theyll fall apart like they always do. And whoever compared the Steelers rooting for the Ravens to beat us so they can get 1 seed, its not even close. The Ravens are actually legit, Miami is not.
Will I root for Miami? No but do I think them winning is better for us? Yes. If Miami wins that would at the present time make us the #1 team in the AFC and also puts even more pressure on them to beat the Pats or risk falling two games behind both the Jets and Pats for homefield in which they would likely never make up. Of course that would also put more pressure on us to beat them but I'll take my chances there.
I don't care who wins. If we beat them both then this game doesn't mean anything to us. The only team we need to root against right now is Baltimore.
When I was in Jamaica they hooked an IV up to my arm and filled it with Red Stripe. Ina few weeks I'll get to try a Balashi and Kubuli. That Amstel made with desalinated seawater should be interesting.
Look, besides what Rich said, the simple fact is Pitt @ Pitt is more likely to give us a problem than Miami at our house.
