You can add QB to the list of needs as well considering its still performing in the bottom 3rd of the league (as are the other positions you included except for CB).

Yeah, I think we're at the point of rebuilding at this point. If they dump Sanchez we're definitely there. The problems are that our holes are on the offensive line, in the defensive front 7 and at safety. That's a fundamental set of weaknesses.

You don't rebuild anymore in this league. People are overreacting. We still have a very strong core and our defense will be good again. A couple of good moves and we can be serious contenders just like a couple of bad moves made us average this year. The NFL has so many close games all it takes is a few players to go from 8 wins to 10-11 or 12 wins.

imo they can get it turned around quick and be right back in the mix of things in 2012.

look at this years 49ers, crap in 2010, 13-3 in 2011 with pretty much the same team.

hell the saints went from 8-8 in 2008 to super bowl champs the next season

the giants went from 8-8 in 2006 to super bowl champs the next season

the bucs went from 9-7 in 2001 to super bowl champs the next season

the ravens 8-8 in 1999, super bowl champs in 2000.

a ton of teams have made it to the super bowl and a few have won it after looking nothing like a champion the year before. a good offseason would do wonders for this team.

I wouldnt mind rebuilding, the problem tho is Rex keeps guarenteeing Super Bowls. Theirs nothing wrong wit rebuilding, but being is Super Bowl Contender every season is near impossible.

We just need to retool and fill the holes needed at certain positions. To be honest it may take more than one offseason to do so.

We have a guy in maybin that may be our starting OLB in a few years. We need another one, safety and a replacement for hunter is needed this offseason for sure.

Rebuild? This is a joke of a thread...teams don't rebuild unless they have shit the bed so big in enough drafts they have nothing...Detroit had to rebuild , buffalo has been for years, redskins have had no luck trying to - The jets have a solid core of young players and some solid veterans. They need to fill in holes, retool some areas, and decide what they are going to do with the OC role. Sooner the better because when they bring in someone new Sanchez has to get up to speed in a hurry. You know how many fans would love to have the Jets as their team..7 playoff appearances since 1998...3 AFC Championship games...the Jets need to make some tough decisions and bring in the right people not just the exciting names like they did last season.
