The Pats probably dont care. However, I dont think Belichick wants to play the Jets. They did lose to the Jets once, the Jets will be motivated to avenge the 45-3 nightmare. And, if we are being honest, Brady is due to have a 2/3 int game, and if that happens, the Pats are going to lose the game.

And, if the Jets beat the Pats in the playoffs, the Jets would gain legitamacy. And Belichick would hate that. So, I think the Pats are rooting for Manning, and will hope that the Steelers can knock him out.

I don't think the Patriots give a shit who they play, much like the Jets don't care who they play.

Who would the pats most HATE to lose to? Has to be their brothers from the swamp, espcially after all of rex's talking.

If the jets get even a hint of momentum, brady might start gripping harder due to NOT WANTING TO LOSE as much as wanting to win.

    There really is a difference.

Nope, you're right. Better if Colts and Ravens get knocked out and same for Pittsburgh. No question...

I'd want the Jets if I were the Pats. I think the Jets can take them, but they have to play a near flawless game to do it. As good as the Jets have looked at times this season, they've never played close to a perfect game. Which is what the Pats seem to do weekly. So Jets have to play out of their heads to match what is pretty much the Pat's norm. I'd take those odds if I was the Pats.

Well bet the team that the Pats probably want to get are the Colts. Since they are much more and better rivals than the Jets are. As they get an audience. Not saying that the Jets-Pats would get an audience as al playoff games would. But there is something about the Colts-Pats rivalry that is much more better as the NFL and the fans know. Whether they are for both teams or not! It is the present-day NFL version of the Yankees-Red Sox!

I don't want to shit on your team, but I would rather have you guys than the Colts. It's not a matter of me thinking you're easier to beat so much as it would be much more satisfying beating you guys than the Colts. On the flip side, losing to the Jets would probably make me jump off a bridge. Division games are just plain better than any other rivalry, even the Pats-Colts.

Swap 3 and 4 and I'd say you have a winner. The Pats would rather face the Jets than the Steelers. Don't care what happened in your game. Troy will be back.

Boston is just a second class city, I'm a New Yorker, living in Montreal, my Canadiens have embarassed them for years, they got nothing on me. Screw boston, screw the Pats and their arrogant fans. We will beat the Colts and we will march into NE and beat the Pats, this is our year, it's destiny, it will happen.

    See you all in Dallas.

    -Jets want the Pats
    -Pats want the Jets

-Pats would love to spank the Jets once again in the playoffs.
-Jets would love to go in NE & end their season after being humilated earlier in the season.

-The media would love Jets vs. Pats ...

but, Jets aren't in the 2nd round yet. Worry about the Colts first. Pats & Jets have enough experience to never overlook Manning no matter who the next opponent is.
