If Mark tosses two lollipops to defensive lineman in the same game the frustration factor alone will be enough for me to call for Eric Fucking Smith to move under center.

But on a serious note, I truly believe having legitimate competition (either real or imagined) for the first time in his NFL career will have a very positive effect on Nacho.

Mark's already bulked up and shown up at camp stronger than he's ever shown up before. The fear of Tebow has been firmly implanted in his heart and soul.

This is the year we will see Mark do as much as he can humanly do under center. If it just ain't enough, we will all see it. And Timmy will be there to comfort him as he walks out of Sparano's office.

I am not a fan of Mark Sanchez, and I have voiced my opinion. Mark Sanchez has the tools to be an above average quarterback, and maybe even elite. However, his football intelligence isn't any better than that of a high school quarterback. IMO. His intangibles are outstanding as far as his fight, but he needs to man up after a mistake. I for 1 am tired of watching him make a mistake, and pouting on the bench. IMO, Sanchez has been playing scared, and wasn't smart enough to handle the complex nature of Schotty's scheme. I also believe that Sanchez will strive in Sparano's run first offense, and take his shots down the field. (This is the only aspect of his physical tools he needs alot of improvement)

I am excited to see what he can do now that he has someone to push him. Will he go to the bench and pout, or will he try and figure out what happened. Sparano, IMO, will not stand for the pouting, and will be forcing the pictures down his throat. He will make a mistake, and we can only wait to see how he progresses in this aspect.

Now that being said, if I see Sanchez make a stupid mistake, I am going to get annoyed. If I see Sanchez go to the bench and pout, I will cry to the roof tops to get the hell out of NY. Until then, I will support the NY Jets QB.

Got news for some of the clueless here, it wasn't a roving band of Tebow fanatics chanting "Tebow, Tebow, Tebow" in Denver last year, it was DENVER FANS who were sick and frakking tired of losing with Orton behind center. That kind of happens when you go 6-22 as a starter.

As long as Sanchez doesn't do anything catastrophically stupid or inept, ala Orton, Tebow chants will barely even be noticeable.

I have a hard time that "Tebow fans" will be able to drown out "NY Jets fans", who have clearly through this and many other forums shown they did NOT support the Tebow move. Sanchez will be fine.

It will be the Tebow fans not necessarily Jets fans who will scream the earliest and loudest. It adds a lot of pressure on the QB, no matter who and how long they have played in NY. You'll find out this season just what Sanchez is and will be.

And I'm sure enough of the stadium dropped their season tickets just so the Tebow fans could buy them up to boo Sanchez out of town.

Good thing we're not in Miami - the Jets can actually fill the stadium.

Jet fans all support Mark Sanchez, he being the ONLY NFL quarterback on the roster

Te-boneheads of the 321 club, not so much

but after this season of their Pastor Timmy running the wildcat, Mr Khan of the Jaguars having endured the Gabbert-Henne error for another season is going to offer the Jets a second round pick or better to bring home our Fullback/Punt Protector in a desperate attempt to try and put some fannies in his empty stadium

Jet fans will be fine if Mark goes 6-22 because we know it won't be Mark's fault.

It will be Sparano's fault for his overly simplified highly predictable offense that never gave Mark a chance.

For the record, except for a few outliers like the unfortunate fellow you quoted, I think Jet fans are too smart to buy into that take on Denver's situation that Tebots try to ram down everyone's throats.

Orton as a starter was 8-7 in 09 in Denver. Yes, 2010 was a disaster year for Denver, but it was not Orton's fault, and Orton was injured that year. And after leaving Denver, Orton finished the year going 2-1 and his team beat Denver, which with Tebow as Qb lost their last three regular season games, backing into the playoffs.

You are right for sure about one thing - an odd set of circumnstances like that will not happen in NY.

Orton's "injury" occurred in the freaking 13th game of the season against the Cardinals. At that point, Denver was 3-10. Tebow started the final 3 games of the season, and those games aren't included in Orton's 6-22 record. Orton then started the first 5 games of the 2011 season and went 1-4.

Got any other BS you want to spread ??

This message is hidden because Demosthenes9 is on your ignore list.

    Heh.

I take it from Football's unfortunate quote that this fellow has become a Tebot.

Had to be a first one, I suppose.

You know what I think. I think that the minute someone calls for Tebow over Sanchez at a game that I'm attending, and they're withing my reach, I'm punching them in the face. Lol. Maybe not cause O got good seats, but seriously. If your a real Jets fan, no way in hell should you be chanting for Tebow to be the #1 qb on this team.

I'm actually all for Tebow coming here, as long as he knows his role and executes. And I haven't been the biggest fan of Sanchez in the past, but by no means should he be replaced by someone with the worst mechanics ever, and someone that can't complete passes with consistency, even when wide open. Sanchez had been thru hell with the NY Media. He has earned the right to prove himself. If he fails then we go to the next guy. McElroy. Who showed some decent play in last years pre season. Watch a broncos game from last year and decide for yourself if you want Tebow as your passer in a passing league.

I think Sanchez will shine under the new system. It plays in to his strengths. And maybe with the new OC hell actually spend some time on his feet, checking down field, instead of on his ass or on his back, looking at the sky, wondering what hit him.

I actually feel like I'd want to react the same way. I wonder how many feel this way and how many arrests will occur if the Tebots get vocal.

If the Jets start 3-2 or better, I think Sanchez will hold the job all year with only imagined controversy produced by the media.

I would predict a 4-1 start today, although don't ask me who I think will give us the loss.

Actually, the "next guy" would be Tim Tebow, seeing as how he is the BACKUP QB for the Jets. :)

If the FO/coaches make decisions based on what the fans want, we have huge problems that are not player problems
