Those aren't defining stats. It's faggotry that fans and statisticians use to make something seem significant. Eli is good, but those points are worthless beside making Eli look clutch under pressure or something.
Eli is over rated. When he puts it together he looks great but as soon as he has 1 special ed moment he just piles them on. So far this year I've seen Eli throw an interception lefty and last night he picked up a fumble and appeared to try to throw it behind his back so it was an incompletion instead of just falling on it. If it wasnt for football Eli would never have graduated high school.
He is elusive and has that "eyes in the back of his head" trait He makes plays...more plays than maybe any Jet QB ever Downfield accuracy is not consistent.. maybe that will improve He looks small and seems brittle I am concerned about injury I think he can lead a team to a SB victory
Eli has his SB ring. Its up to Sanchez to get his. There is no sense hating on Eli when the topic of this thread is Sanchez. Is he great yet? clearly no. Is he improving? Clearly yes. How good can he get? Clearly we are about to find out.
Sanchez is a winner. That is a big quality that great QB's have. He has great confidence. Never gives up, gotta like that. Now he is winning games late. Something he couldn't do last year. Its very impressive for such a young guy.
I clearly think that you had a clear mind while making your thoughts about nacho as clear as possible. The clarity of your post is second to none. And to clarify, I agree 100%
Sanchez's first year was bad, and I saw that coming actually. He was a rookie QB, just comin into the league, so he'd have to get used to a whole new level of play than from college. Sure he threw 20 picks. But he did show some flashes early and was pretty good during the playoffs. But i'm really starting to notice that Sanchez is getting better and better not only because he cut down on his picks, but he's making better decisions, better throws, and he's much more agile than people thought as we saw on the Jets-Browns game. Overall I think he will lead the Jets to Super Bowl wins and although he may not be considered elite like Brady or Manning, I could see him becoming a great QB similar to the level of an Aaron Rodgers or Phillip Rivers. But I hope that the Jets bring him more weapons, because as he develops, the Jets will become more all-around team, and we need targets he can throw to.
What makes you think he is brittle? He has missed one game in his career and has shown that he will play through injury. This seems like Chad Pennington syndrome to me.
who says that aaron rodgers or phil rivers is a great qb? what have they won? A few good seasons with no championships isn't being a great qb.
Rodgers put up 45 points in his 2nd season as a starter in the playoffs and his team lost, nothing he can do. Rodgers is definitely elite. Rivers still has time, he's been amazing this season though.
That's because he gets hit by the biggest fuckers in the game. I've seen him get hit and get up. If he was brittle, he'd be Matt Stafford by now. He's a tough kid.
Kid has a lot of heart, but he is not going to be a great quarterback but he will cause nightmares for the opposition from time to time, I need to see his accuracy improve before I put him the category of possibly becoming great, his completion % not cutting it
