Of course they do. Like you said why bother if they don't. And let's face it, the only ones complaining or questioning it's usage are fans of any of the QBs who didn't score the highest. The ones who couldn't wait for the results because they knew that Allen would finish low.
And I don't agree. Because it's the Allen fans criticizing the usage an importance of the Wonderlic test.
With what? My post? It’s not really an agree or disagree thing. It’s factual... it is 100% fact that only fans of players who score low don’t care about the Wonderlic.
Yeah, I meant literally, everyone. How about this, none of the Allen fans are complain that the test is meaningless and not used. Instead of your wording that they don't care, your edit and completely different from what I said.
because I don't' support allen, I'd much rather have darnold or rosen. The only way i'd want allen is if it's him or mayfield as the options. He's a consolation prize as best.
Okay, I prefer Rosen too, and have since the Jets left Mahomes on the table last year, but I would take Mayfield next for all the reasons I've previously laid out - just like you've laid out for Allen. So if that makes me a "Mayfield Fan Boy", that makes you an "Allen Fan Boy". But in the end, who cares? Unless you give weight to a dismissive term, which in no way changes whether someone is right or wrong.
I didn't say you were a mayfield fanboy. others are, but you haven't been. You've been much more level headed, you just prefer mayfield to allen. nothing wrong with that even if i don't agree with it
Mora's a dunce. There's nothing wrong with asking "Why." In fact, I'd rather have a player that wants to know why and doesn't just blindly do something. It shows that they're thinking and want to learn. It's time for the old "Because I said so" attitude to die. That said, I like it as long as it's a sign of learning, but if it's part of being rebellious, or a know-it-all, then that's a different matter. I don't think Rosen will have a problem with having to focus in the NFL.
That bunch of Mora quotes is pretty curious. It almost hurts Rosen. He's basically telling teams that they have to give Rosen a certain special treatment to make sure he cares about football. Not surprising quotes about Rosen, just surprising that they are coming from his own coach less than a month from the draft.
There is a new screening test developed by 2 psychologists to replace the Wonderlic but the link is faulty to show you..some NFL teams have it already Pre Employment testing in itself has poor predictive validity imo..just one factor in the whole process actually
Dan Orlovsky was on NFL Radio this morning, and they were discussing how Mora comes across as salty, as if he blames Rosen for not doing enough to save his job. I never thought about it from that angle.
It's funny, when I read his first take (and now second take) my immediately thought was it's a veiled swipe at Rosen not being good enough to help Mora stay on as coach. No good leader (or even above average leader) blames his personnel/people for his failure, especially a college kid...No mater what the truth is you just don't do that..Being in Mora's position (his ex-coach) you certainly don't do that right before the draft...I really like Rosen, but admittedly he could be a great or horrible person for all I know, but Mora's quotes just come across as terrible to me and the more he talks the worse it comes across...you want to tell coaches who call the total truth, fine (and he mentioned no one called him, hmmmm, probably a reason for that)...but telling that to the media, comes across as trying to make yourself look better while blaming one of your troops for ultimately your shortcomings. Totally distasteful...
The more I read about Rosen the more I think he might not be all in as a NFL QB. None of us can tell the future, only time will tell. It would be the Jets luck to draft him and he turns out to be more interested in anything else but giving 110% as a NFL QB.
Or if the Jets are the reason he turns out to be more interested in anything else but giving 110% as an NFL QB.
