less risk, so yes. They didn't need more yards.

Any drive that ends in a kick is good, right?

Herm is a horrible coach. Both of his head coaching jobs he has inherited teams that had enough talent to be competitive right away. Herm as a coach:

    Negatives:
    1) no idea how to game plan for an opponent. See opening day against KC. He played the same offense and defense never making any changes because of the opponent.
    2) in game decision making: Obviously time management is a disaster. His famous quote from the Baltimore game last year "as long as it's a punt or kick the drive was good". He has no idea how to work the clock at the end of a game or how to utlize all of his players to keep guys fresh. Lamont Jordan should have been getting a lot more touches.
    3) player development: Victor Hobson, Dewayne Robertson, Bryan Thomas, Cedric Houston. It just seems like Herm never got the most ouf of anyone. Mangini only wants players he can coach up. Herm didn't even bother, he just wanted to be the father figure blah blah blah.
    4) Credibility: Did Herm ever take any responsiblity for any of his mistakes? Did he lie to the media and the fans about staying last year? Would anyone ever trust this guy again? Why should any player trust someone like that?
    5) Veteran Loyalty: I'm sure we all remember that herm would play a veteran literally until the player died out there rather then putting in a younger backup. Even if the veteran sucked Herm didn't care. Do we now notice that depending on who has a good week of practice Mangini plays that guy, so instead of the guy who makes $5 million just loafing it all week it's now a competition week in and week out for playing time which makes for players getting better. I remember hearing rumors about players not working out under herm, camp herm was a joke.

    Positives:
    1) cheerleader: There is no question herm is a solid motivation speaker and gets people fired up. It's great style but not much substance.
    2) I do agree that if you win the penalties and turnover game that you have a good chance to win every week and this is what Herm strives for.

In conclusion I think Herm would make a great college coach. Maybe in the SEC, I think he would be amazing going into a young athletes home and trying to convince him to go to his school. College gameplans are much more simplistic. And helping the players mature as people is much more important when someone is 18-22 and that would be right up his alley. I do think he's an idiot, a con artist but he's also smooth and the media loves any black coaches.

You know Mangini's Jets have less penalties than Herm's Chiefs.

Yeah I do, I was just stating that one of herms big things is penalties and turnovers. Whether his teams are actually good at that is another story. I hate Herm I think he is a horrible coach but in the nfl if you don't turn it over you can beat anyone.

    According to NFL.com...

The Jets have 66 offensive penalties and 92 defensive. total 158.
The Chiefs have 67 offensive and 74 defensive. total 141.

    Unless I read it wrong???

You are right. My mistake. But, they are both near the top of the NFL.

I'm still not sure I'm reading that right. That would be over 10 penalties a game per team. That's too much.

And again Herm was taking over a veteran team that had had success in the past.

I honestly believe that Herm adds no value at all to his team's play on the field. That alone invalidates him as an NFL head coach. He should be coaching Div I-AA NCAA somewhere like Alcorn State.

You're a weird, nonsensical person. Let's stop talking about Herman, and start talking about how totally SICKY our team is doing right now... way above expectations.

Other than that, I'm still` loving the Noofie.

Thanks that picture was when he was a baby still. I should update that. He needs major surgery in Jan. Total hip replacement. He's only 2 years old.

Ahhhh good ole rajensen088. Where you been lately, hiding out under a new username on a new forum. I would too If I were such I blind supporter of duhHerm at this point as well.

Hey, answer this for me-Why is it that Duh Herm is going to be sitting at home watching the playoffs this year? After all, he left us for greener pastures acording to you. KC was supposedly the perfect place, why would he want to stay here in the mess that is the Jets. Or exactly as you put it then "The NY Jets are just a bitter bunch of Jennifer Aniston's because DuhHerm left us for a Jolie". Nice one buddy, the mess that is the Jets is in the hunt for the WC while that sooped up Ferrari being driven by DuhHerm is still sputtering at the starting line wondering who sh*t in the gas tank. The Leopard never changed his spots, he just got out before his sh*t really started to stink around here. Nice strategy he's got going too, "score less points to win games"!! Brilliant!!

But don't pine jensen ol' pal, Jets fans are far happier with the current situation. Fat Mangini, as you so eloquently referred to him, has coached a bunch of Anniston's into more of a Jolie than KC will ever see. Who'd have ever known DRob, Thomas, and Cotchery are actually pretty darm good playera if DuhHerm was still around. I'm sure DuhHerm will be happy to take you to McDonalds and tell you it's a filet mignon. And you'll eat it up!!

Nahh of course not I mean why go for more yards? We had the weakest kicker in the NFL setting up for the longest FG inthe history of Heinz Field. Makes sense DuhHerm.

How about this, Herm is just as good at Coaching Parcell's players, but sucks when it comes to coaching his own?

Ahhh now I get it. I never could figure out why you loved Herm so and hated Mangini the moment he walked in the door. Now it is apparant. You have no care for actually abilities to coach, it's all good so long as our coach is slim and trim and looks good on the sidelines with a leather coat. Man, you'd probably shoot yourself or defect as a Jets fan if that horrible Belichek ever had a chance to coach us.
