I don't think he'll make it out of the second round. VERY weak draft at QB. Next year is much better.

He's a mid 1st rounder. Personally, I'm hoping for Nate Davis. I'm not a big fan of Freeman.

I hear this a lot, but it's really not that much better.

I like Stafford better than Bradford, Sanchez better than McCoy, and Freeman better than Tebow.

Locker and Snead are very solid though.

2010 has a couple of good mid-major quarterbacks:

Dan LeFevour from Central Michigan and Tim Hiller from Western Michigan out of the MAC

    and

Rusty Smith from Florida Atlantic out of the Sun Belt

There's also a I-AA passer to keep an eye on - former Penn State QB Pat Devlin transferred to University of Delaware. Is he the next Joe Flacco?

Jimmy Clausen at Notre Dame is a QB that I've always been intrigued by - he throws one of the nicest deep balls that I have ever seen. The kid's got everything you look for in a pro-passer. If he puts it all together, he will be great. (I'm not a Notre Dame fan by the way)

I am A ND fan MrElectric29, and you haven't seen the best of him yet, he is going to put up some crazy numbers this season with the receiving core we have. O-line will be even better, and the run game will compliment the pass. Sometimes he tries to force it, but some of the interceptions are not on him, i watched every game, and 4 INT (That i can remember) were on the TE/WR. Look for a big season from Clausen.

    Good news.

I've been waiting for Clausen to shine at Notre Dame. A lot have called him overrated, but I've never changed my opinion on him - JC's had awful blocking at ND...give him some protection and he'll put up Heisman-like numbers. Michael Floyd, Golden Tate and Kyle Rudolph are lucky to have him as their QB.

With the recent recruiting classes Weis has brought in, they could be BCS contenders in 2009 and 2010...only if Clausen stays for his senior season though.

Your not wrong about that, how we pulled off Te'o i don't know. We made strides this season, and we haven't lost too much this off-season. Were adding Watt and Martin on the O-line and then adding Shaqulle Evans to that receiving core of Grimes/Tate/Floyd. Add to that Wood and E.J Banks, You can tell why I'm excited. If Clausen keeps his head down and works hard, there is no limit to what the guy can achieve.

I don't know much about Davis and haven't looked at him yet.I know he is listed at 6 '1, which could be a problem at he combine. His #'s are interesting.

Since you think I'm crazy lets look at what others are saying.

"The junior opted to jump to the NFL rather than learn a new system. He's ranked by scouts as a quarterback who could get drafted on day one because of his strong arm, though his propensity to commit turnovers, and losing record as a starter for Kansas State, are drawbacks." NFLDraftScouts.com

"During his final season in Manhattan he tallied 2,945 passing yards, 20 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
However, those numbers can be a little deceiving. Eight of those 20 touchdown passes came in three early season games against North Texas, Montana State and Louisiana-Lafayette. That is not exactly tough competition. That leaves Freeman with 12 touchdowns and eight interceptions in the nine other games. His inconsistency is a huge concern and if he could not win in college, many think he cannot win the NFL, no matter how much he looks the part." fftoolbox.com

"Accuracy was abysmal in junior year ... Locks on to receivers and shows below-average field vision ... Wildly inconsistent; runs hot and cold ... Questionable leadership ... Intangibles will go under the microscope by pro scouts who can talk to KSU players and coaches. " WalterFootball.com

Now you can find just as mant great posts about him, especially after the combines. Yes, he will be a workout warrior at the draft but that is all he is. Do you want yet another Ghloston or Robertson?

This kid would have been easily the sixth QB in the draft if three other better QBs would have come out, but they didn't and because of that some team will throw millions of dollars at this kid who will be nothing more than a wantabe.

He avaeraged only 59% completion percentage in college and his last year was only 58%, which means he is consistantly average.

Freeman had 44 TDs and 34 Ints in college against average teams. If you take out the three game streak he had agianst smaller schools this year he would be at 32 TDs and 34 Ints. Once again that is average not first day draft material.

The ammount of money you would pay him is just stupid for a kid with his ability. I would rather you sign Anderson, Carr or even Leftwich all whom we could get for less money and are far better options.

You say he has a gun, I say he is no Flacco! Flacco went in the mid-1st round and deserved it, Freeman doesn't.

In the past years I wanted Flacco and Cutler, both whom had great arms and were must better prospects and we passed them up, if we draft Freeman, especially in the first round, I am hoping Ratliff beats the crap out of him in camp, yes just to prove the point. I feel ripping off the bandaid of hope would be better than what we have done with Kellen who even was a better prospect than Freeman and yet sucks too.

Enough ranting, you hope for him and I'll hope not!

If we can get Sanchez at #17, why not.

But I would rather have Anderson and draft a receiver at #17.

I don't understand why people would rather go with Derek Anderson than any of our options. In his one good year, he had a 56.5 Completion %. That worries me. Why trade a 3rd rounder for him instead of letting Clemens, the guy we drafted to be our starter, get a shot at the job.

I'd much rather bring in Byron Leftwich than trade a pick for Anderson. He was a solid QB with Jacksonville and is a better fall-back plan for Clemens than Anderson.

Byron Leftwich wouldn't be a bad pickup, but my opinion is Anderson would be better.

I would like to see what Ratliff and Ainge have to show.

As for Kellen I've seen him and after three years on the team he still has nothing to show, except the swagger he thinks he has. I have no idea what kind of drugs he on, but he is talking like he's the Jets savior. He needs to shut up and just show us.

Kellen Clemens went 3-5 with a garbage 4-12 team...and the Balitmore and Cleveland games should have been wins. I don't know what kind of "swagger" you're talking about?

    Erik Ainge? C'mon.

I'd like to see a guy like Brett Ratliff succeed, but it's hilarious how many of the posters here think he is some sort of demigod at quarterback. He's had success in the preseason - most of the guys he played against can't even make practice squads. Aside from a couple of nice, wide-open chucks to David Clowney and that Paul Raymond drop, he's looked mediocre.

Now onto Derek Anderson - why should we give up a 3rd or 4th round pick for a guy with a 58% completion rate in his best year? Leftwich is a free agent that showed success on a better team. In Jacksonville, he had no weapons and no offensive line. I want to see what he can do with some help.

This is why I would not draft a QB in round one unless Sanchez is there. Hopefully, Rex's plan is to ground and pound. It's what our team was built to do until the Brett Experiment threw us off track. I would take the best defensive player available or a RB. If Sanchez McCoy or Moreno are there, we should take one of them. If not on to the D. ( in Anderson's defense his 2 best recievers are notorius butterfingers.)
