You can't force someone to repay a signing bonus if they abide by the contract. Williams and T.O. didn't live up to the terms of their deals. Teams can release players that aren't performing to standard, but they can't force them to take a paycut. The NFL contract system is assinine and should be tossed out the window along with first round rookie contracts.

How exactly is a 6'1" 225lbs WR , "undersized"??? I think your thinking of another WR because Bolden is a Beast and plays WR like TE more than like a typical widewout.

Just because Boldin asked to be traded doesn't mean he's available...

He actually just plays physical...not like a tight end. It's called being a possession receiver. Boldin is in the mold of Terrell Owens. Big, strong, great hands, and great after the catch. He deserves more money.

He's making 2nd rounder money right now and it's ridiculous for the Cardinals to expect him to be happy about that.

I really don't see how people thing the Jets WR corps is "deep." The starters are good to very good, but the drop off after that is significant. Brad Smith, Clowney, Stuckey, Ball, Wright are all #4 / #5 types from what I have seen so far. Yes, Baker and Keller make up some of the difference, but I wouldn't call the WR corps deep at all.

If a deal could be made here (and I doubt it would), I would like to see it straight-up for Coles.

Agreed, but my point was that as WR's go he is anything but undersized.

I'd kill to have Anquan Boldin on this team. He's not undersized, he just isn't your 6'4" 235lb prototypical super-receiver. And that does not matter. He's an animal.

The difference is that not only did Boldin far outplay his contract, his FO and CS told him as much. Neither Kendall nor Baker came even close to outperforming their paychecks.

Would love to have him on this team, but it ain't happening. I don't think we'll be able to afford him.

I'd rather pay the money to Boldin than Jones. Not that it's that simple.

Boldin is a total beast. He would definitely upgrade our receiving corps.

I'd trade for him in a second. Boldin is young, big and very productive.

And I'm sure Tannenbaum could figure out a way to get the guy under our cap. For instance dump Barrett and use his cap space.

He's only productive when on the field and last year he spent a lot of the season being injured.

I'd take Boldin over Coles or Cotchery. We won't be in trade talks though we've made a ton of moves already.

Ton of moves and no cap space. Not only that but would you want a guy on your team that constantly renegotiates his salary year in and out?

    Me neither.

Straight up for Coles is interesting. Jets would still need to get a more solid #3.
