No, I know. I read them all. I am just saying how it will be interpreted. Remember last year Rex/team was much more tame with their comments and the (8-8) record impressed us all. Now they are setting themselves up for disappointment. Now if this philosophy works, and they finish (10-6) or better, then I won't have a problem with it.
IMHO Pace comes off dumber then dumb since he has not yet seen what the other 31 teams in the league have to offer yet so it is rather difficult at this point to say we have the "best" D in the league

one thing I have learned under rex is that talking doesn't win or lose games. I prefer a quieter approach but this is who rex is and these are the types of teams he wants and they know they are good this year whereas the last couple of years they have been very quiet. If guys aren't getting arrested and the team is winning then I don't care about talking. If players are embarrassing the team on and off the field then I care.
Bingo. Exactly how I feel. I don't get how an (8-8) season can give Rex the green light to do all this again. From what I have read, the Jets should be in conversation with the Broncos and Patriots for the #1 seed in the AFC. I mean they have the best defense, best cornerback, a Top 5 QB, explosive new weapons on offense, wow! Seattle better watch out!
you know what would be great? if w/ the constant media coverage the jets just told us how they hope they don't finish in last place. no matter what they say some of you guys will always complain.

Reading in context is a very fair point to make, and it screams ignorance to do otherwise. I've ready plenty of headlines that have said Geno Smith proclaims yo be a top 5 QB, when in reality he didn't say it exactly like that. On a separate note, the Raiders GM just compared Mack to Clay Matthews. CMON MAN WIN BEFORE YOU START SPEWING THAT TRASH!
