How many threads you going to post it in? Did you watch the game? He was under duress all night against one of the leagues best past rush and got absolutely smoked by Watt several times. Not really sure what the magic coaching wand did to make him complete passes as he did (and some in very tight windows). For what it’s worth - I never thought he’d be any good in the pros but two starts in with a lot to go and I look wrong.
Zach, Has played better each week. He play well again this game and throws a couple more TD's and hopefully some posters can say a few positive things. The kid led an amazing comeback, do we talk about that, nope we continue to harp on the negative. 24 sec Zach will hopefully show up against the Chargers and we will extend our winning streak to 4.
This is a terrible take and comparing apples and oranges. Are those other teams rebuilding with a rookie HC and rookie OC and CS? Jimmy G has been around a long time and has played at a high level before. Is Ridder starting while working on his fundamentals? Does he have a rookie HC and OC? Does he have a shit OL and mediocre WRs? Is he having to learn to lead an offense that is the most complex in the NFL and that is at the other end of the spectrum from what he played in at college? JD has acknowledged that he screwed up in the handling and development of Zach and that the should have had a veteran QB here to start during Zach's rookie season. I'll be that these other QBs were thrown to the wolves their rookie season and expected to totally change their footwork and approach to playing QB while starting. I'll bet those teams didn't have the shit around their QB that the Jets had Zach's rookie season or the shit-level coaching that Zach had to deal with his first 2 seasons. He wasn't even supposed to play this year. This was supposed to be a year for him to sit and continue learning the offense and working on his issues.
he looked pretty good last night to me too but if that was zach you know people here would be hating on him and only focusing on the stats and the fact on the final player with a chance to win, he missed a wide open WR and instead threw into triple coverage and got picked off.
Well duh... it was Levis' 2nd game ever. Not his 30th like Wilson. The expectations should be a little different
and i get that, but at this point levis should have higher expectations. a high 2nd round pick rookie (basically a 1st. pick 33) vs a former 1st round bust who is now a backup
Qb stats last night Levis 22-39 (56% )262 ) tds 1 pic 66.4 rating Pickett 19-30 (63%) 160 yards 1 TD 88.2 Rating I him sky at least two balls when I was watching.
levis played a way better game overall IMO then pickett did. but pickett was more clutch and made the big plays at the end
