That dude is severely depressed. I've seen his posts go from semi respectable to flat out garbage within a year. Dude's not a Jets fan, in fact I think he's just a Tebow fan. I held off, but I had to add him to the ignore list, as his posts contribute literally zero to the forums or any discussions beyond "this dude sucks". That mentality does nothing but bring everyone else down. Rookies and young players are busts if they don't break out in their first season, just ask Jeti. Hill will never improve his catching. Honestly I'm hyped about our young starters this year including Ducasse. Jeti has already made his allegiance clear when he said he'd be rooting for Revis against the Jets today. He's not a fan.
Good Job LAJet, An so it begins, for better or worst Geno or Mark we all want the best or the Jets. Time for talk is over, now it's time to play the games and walk the walk. Here's to a successful season that surprises many and silences even more. Enjoy everyone and remember no matter what this season brings, the future is very bright. J. E. T. S. Jets. Jets Jets.
I agree with a lot of the sentiments on here. If anything, let's enjoy the young kids maturing (hopefully), and not commit suicide over early disappointments. Andrew luck had some AWFUL games last year... specifically against us. If he was on the Jets and that happened, everyone would want him run out of town! Be patient, and enjoy the weekly development! The only other alternative is suicide, and watching players get better each week is much more fun!
We actually play better when we have low expectations. When we usually are expected to go all the way? We fall flat on our asses.
Where the fuck are you after the game? I would love to here your pathetic outlook of this game, I want to see how you spin such a great game into something so terrible. That game alone was better than any game last year. Period. ..and guess what? Geno was a major part of that solution. It's still early to say you are wrong about Geno but I think you are looking kinda stupid with all your negative nancy posts. I wouldn't even mind if your opinion was just that of Geno and that you don't like him, fine, I can live with that. To wish for injury of one of our teams players is sick and pathetic. Shame on you.
Well put. Tough and exciting game. Geno was clearly part of the solution. Long road ahead, but optimism and encouragement for our young team will go much further than the negative and right down vicious outlook of some. Wishing someone to be hurt is simply not acceptable and the very opposite of what we call sportsmanship.
Regardless of if whether we get the late penalty and the win or not, Geno showed enough poise, composure and ability in his first competitive start to suggest that he may be a real NFL quarterback. It's just a start and there's a lot of development to do, he may not make the next steps, but there was enough promise to say that he's ready to take over the reins and do his development on the field rather than on the sidelines.
- Geno was good enough from an overall perspective, GREAT from a 1st game perspective. Very optomistic based on his first performace. - O-Line had issues, but for all the complaints about guys running free, I'd rather that be the issue that guys just getting beat 1 on 1. You can fix free runners easier than individual skill. When we picked guys up, blocks were held pretty well, which makes the long term view better. Also we found that Geno can keep plays alive when he is bum rushed. He moves very well in the pocket and can escape to prolong plays. - Teams were GREAT. 85 freaking yard punt. 48 yard FG to win. Consistently bombing kickoffs out of the EZ. A+. - D-Line looks fantastic. Imagine what Rex can do once he realizes we can get to the QB WITHOUT sending an extra guy in all the time. We can finally (hopefully) take away the middle of the field with a dropped LB or other roaming player in the secondary. I'm giddy thinking about what happens when Coples is back in the lineup. - I want to hear all the douche pundits this week. "Jets are a dumpster fire!" "Jets are the worst in the league!" "Tampa is up and coming!" "Jets will have #1 pick!". Yes, it's just one win, but the pundits should be coming hat-in-hands to their media of choice to say they were, just maybe, WRONG to spend the last 3 months piling on the Jets with for no reason. They won't... but they should. Also Ty Law can suck it.
