Last Night's episode sucked ass. The writers should go die in a fire. Fucking show is shit. That's the normal stuff I'm used to seeing on a Monday, but there was no show and Mr E is in purgatory.
Saw this quote: "The Walking Dead is like Jason Bay: it's now so bad it's difficult to remember it was once good. But that ending was like a random 2-HR day."
Shane's emoting is getting ridiculous - every scene he is in he looks like someone trying to a "robert de niro in taxi driver" impression (and failing)
I can't think of any show in recent memory, in mid-season hiatus, which made me care so little about it or its Feb return. Between this and the last series with Rosie Larson, AMC is making me a true non-believer and even less of a fan.
This season has been pretty weak so far. The whole Sophia thing just dragged on and on. Still, I think it has the potential to be pretty kickass. I read a bunch of the graphic novels and thought that the Hershal's farm part was kind of boring anyway but that it picked up after they left...so hopefully the show follows the same path. If the rest of the season is as boring as the first half then I'm not sure how much longer I'll watch it, and I'm a pretty big zombie fan.
That would have been just fucking awesome. I think this epic idea was nixed for budgetary reasons -- but fuck that, you don't hire a visionary like Darabont, just to hamstring him with nickle and dime shit. He was obviously right to leave. Unfortunately, he walked with most of the show's integrity -- this would have been a powerful way to open Season 2, instead we got predictable "meh".
I thought 28 Days Later was not a zombie movie. I thought it was about people infected with a virus. I take it that site is a blog run by you and two other guys? Good job having one and it looks nice, but the writing is way too snarky for my liking. If that is how you write and you get a following large enough for your liking, then that is fine. Ignore people like me. I had a blog in 2006-07. I deleted everything. It had all short writing (which is actually difficult to do) but I eventually got frustrated because I did not advertise it and I received about 5 comments total for what were maybe 40 posts.
it's meant to be a bit edgier haha. Think Grantland for college students. Our sports stuff (the "intramurals" section) is a bit more constructive (I think so at least). We're going through what you went through right now, have about 70-100 consistent readers but trying to get an increase. The feedback is always appreciated by the way. edit: and yes 28 Days Later was about "infected," but they were basically zombies(mindless feeding machines, similar look and behavior)...I guess minus the undead part
Thought this week's episode was great. Picked up right where they left off. That last scene had some nice tension....with a terrific payoff. I'm very optimistic for the rest of this season. Edit....no preview for next week.
