If it works for you thats awesome man... what I find even more awesome is that you run 4+ miles with your 10 year old son!
I'm 6' even. 5 pounds every few days is only possible in the first week, where if you cut your grain and sugar out, your body will shed its meaningless water weight. It's not genuine. Remember, to lose a pound you have to burn 3500 more calories than you take in. As for the wall, I was there for 2-3 weeks, ending about a week ago. Things werent getting better, i was sick of eating the same shit, and i stayed in the same 5 pound range for a couple weeks. As of yesterday, I've broken into the teens (219), but i've really had to buckle down.
I need to start yogging myself! I'm at 6' - 200lbs, and I'm ready to hit the pavement. I wanted to get down to this weight before running, so my knees wouldn't burst off my legs.
Not really. That was kind of my point to Yisman. I was only having 2 low carb protein shakes, one in the AM, one in the afternoon, and then the same dinners as now. I was also working out more prior and couldn't take off anything. Once I ran out of protein, and changed the food, something different happened. Same total calories. Can't explain it, but I can only conclude that sometimes it's partly what you're eating, not just how much Low Fat works for some, Low Carb for others....
Im now wearing those shiny ,short jogging shorts when I run. My yam bag is juuuuust about poking out the bottom. Its fucking sexy
I've been exercising every day lately. (Well, I actually missed this past Sunday, but otherwise, I'm doing well.) I was actually surprised to see I haven't really lost a lot of strength. Some, but not most.
I just got back from the QC gym. Did the leg press and worked with a bunch of free weights. I then jogged home (about a mile). Dripping sweat. I can barely see. I hadn't used the leg press since my fitness class over 2 years ago, but I still did 2 sets of 330 pounds. 10-12 reps apiece.
How important is lifting legs if you run 2-3 times a week? What I've been finding is that when I lift legs, Squats Presses Extensions Lunges Cleans I get incredibly sore and can't run for atleast 3 days after. This ends up making me go sometimes 3 days between work outs, which I don't like. Should I just reduce the intensity of my leg lifts or just get rid of the program in general?
reduce the intensity. It's still good to include it. I'm going to be doing leg presses and running as well. My legs are sore, but they usually recover quickly. Just make sure to do workouts that cover the body. Don't neglect your core, arms, etc. I love the leg press because I'm damn good at it. At the end of my fitness class, I was almost maxing out the machine. I had never touched a leg press until that class.
