If you don't get it, begin to learn how to think. This makes you look like a real retard. 1. As clearly evidenced by Alex Smith, that he sucked like real shit for first few years does NOT mean he will suck for the rest of his career. Getting the right offensive system matters, and so does having good quality roster at the skill positions. (neither of which was afforded by Sanchez.) 2. This means, you cannot use the past performance from Sanchez to make a decision on him either. Ask yourself, about 4 years ago, if you could tell if Alex Smith could post 100+ QBR in a season. (Refer to #1 above: you are making a real naive assumption that Alex Smith will somehow stay effective in Morhinweg's offensive system too. Nobody knows if that will be the case or not. Of course, we don't know about that with Sanchez either, but at least Sanchez does not incur extra expenditure like Smith does.) 3. That aside, this also proves that, if you don't want Sanchez for the past performances, same shit will probably apply to Alex Smith by the same token, regardless of whether he is better than Sanchez or not. 4. So just what the hell is the point of getting Alex Smith? Where does that lead to? This is the key question you should have a clear answer for. (And you don't have any.)
Your sad attempt at minimizing my attempt to think is a clear indicator you're probably in a union of some sort or operate a concrete machine. In any event, no you're still wrong. 1) Yes, you are incredibly smart. You need the right system and decent players. How did you ever come up with that on your own? Sanchez had plenty of talent around him in his first 2 years especially in 2010 and still put up marginal numbers. 2) Wrong again. Alex Smith has progressed to Sanchez having regressed. If you'd like I can draw you a picture of this with smiley faces and use different colors if it'll help you see it. 3) Wrong again. Alex Smith again has progressed to Sanchez having regressed. It's as simple as that despite your attempt to sound intelligent. 4) This is the big shocker. I never said I want Alex Smith. I never said we should acquire Alex Smith. I simply am saying those saying he is worse than Sanchez are idiots plain and simple. I can dig up my Dr. Seuss books from when I was 3 to help you brush up on basic comprehension if you'd like. OR you can just continue to pick an internet fight. Either way is cool by me.
He probably doesn't see himself as a career backup, either. Stopgap would be a step up for Matt Moore.
Oh, I'm sorry. PAY ALEX SMITH AS MUCH AS WE ARE PAYING SANCHEZ. Better? Because some stupid fuck team will do it on the open market, and I'd prefer the Jets not to be that stupid fuck team.
Years 5+ Alex Smith > Years 1-4 Mark Sanchez Years 1-4 Alex Smith = Years 1-4 Mark Sanchez Years 5+ Alex Smith ? Years 5+ Mark Sanchez
he is a ufa after the season... niners dont hold any cards. unless they sign and trade him. I dont see that happening and smith SUCKS. The 9ers are 80x better than the Jets. If he has our team to throw to he looks like he did 3 years ago.
he didn't say that either. He said Alex Smith is better than Sanchez which isn't a very bold thing to say.
The point is that just because Alex Smith is better than Mark doesn't mean people also think we should sign him. Almost everyone at this juncture is equal to or better than Mark. The point is that people cannot grasp this concept and mistake someone saying that Alex Smith is better than Mark to be the same thing as them saying we should acquire Alex Smith. This is in large part due to one or a combination of the following: -Homerism -General level of stupidity -Mark Sanchez man crush
