I had heard this story last week. Brought a tear to my eyes. Hats off to Mark. It should remind us all of what's really important in life.
RIP Aiden. Very sad story. I work part time delivering funeral pieces in Floral Park. We got an order from the Jets for an arrangement they wanted sent to the funeral home. Sanchez was there yesterday.

Such a sad story, hopefully we can win this one for Aidan. Definitely puts things into perspective. I hope he had a happy last month or so by getting to become friends with one of his heroes.
Already posted but still a good debate topic. Yeah, stuff like this changes your whole perspective and really makes you grow up... Hope Sanchez takes inspiration from this (like we all should).
I heard the story that Sanchez came to visit one afternoon when Aidan was sleeping, at that point he was sleeping most of the day...Sanchez said he'd wait until he woke up, not knowing how long it could be...He wakes up and Sanchez is there for him...Sanchez is a stand-up guy....
the story is a great one. it's a great off the field story for Jets fans to love, and enjoy about their QB Mark Sanchez. Sanchez, no longer a dick.
Agreed, that other thread was extremely unfair to Sanchez. We can't expect pro athletes to be 100% wonderful with the fans 100% of the time, that's not humanly possible. I hope this kid pulls through
This is an amazing story... I really think Sanchez is the type of player you want leading your football team. I have always been a sanchez supporter. However, after reading these articles I can now say I am a Sanchez fan. The Jets give all of us an escape from the BS of the real world every Sunday - Sanchez gave this kid an escape from the unfortunate situation that he was faced with.

Either can I...I have two little kids and I don't have any idea how a parent deals with this because it would destroy me. And to have someone who you would never expect to bring your child happiness like that is awesome, although it has to be bitter sweet knowing that your child would like to see how everything turns out. I can't imagine, I could go on and on with it but such an awesome gesture by Sanchez...
