I hate it when people correct others' spelling! By the way Champ, 1) Comma after "Yes." 2) "Than" instead of "then." 3) "Too" instead of "to." 4) "Their" as opposed to "there." 5) "Separates," not "seperates." 6) "Unsuccessful" instead of "unsucessful." Sheesh....
There is no distinction between "Driving Under the Influence" and "Driving While Intoxicated," at least not here in Jersey. Of course, while driving through the Iselin section of Edison in the middle of the afternoon one day, I turned to my wife and said, "Hey, that guy is DWI." She frowned and looked at me and said, "What are you talking about?" "Driving While Indian," I said.
What a disappointment Adrian Jones has been. he has more than enough talent to be a good starter and he was decent for us last year in his 1st as a starter but it's been downhill ever since.
Cavka got hurt. They still brought in enough OL to keep us good and have you noticed all the "bad" Bradway moves that are now contributing? Reacquiring Coles, drafting Cotchery, McCareins, Chris Baker, Brandon Moore, Pete Kendall, extending Chad, Askew, Houston, Bryan Thomas, extending Ellis, Robertson, Vilma, Hobson, Barton, Rhodes, Coleman, Miller, Nugent. Not bad for such a crappy GM.
So you're saying it's all the previous CS' fault for not properly utilizing the talent Bradway brought in? Some of these names listed are also major reaches for being contributors given their contracts etc.
Woah, easy there Nellie. I never jumped on the f-Bradway bandwagon in this discussion, and am well aware that you have alot emotionally invested in the prior regime. Cavka sucked. When he wasn't hurt, he played "suckily." The guy couldn't even contribute in NFLE. He was given a chance, as were others, he couldn't hack it. At least Jones contributed a little before his fall from "greatness," but Cavka could never step up to the plate and do a thing. Now I'll jump on the previous FO, and if you think that over the course of the regime, Boobway and Germ brought in enough OL to "keep us good," I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you. I don't settle for "good" OL's and would rather have an OL that would make us great. Piss-poor FA moves and poor drafting speaks volumes as to how badly the prior regime handled the OL. How'd you like the depth last year when we lost some starters? Was that "keeping us good?"
We lost Mawae, Fabini and Cavka. We had ONE OL start the year and end it in the same position. No amount of depth could overcome that as well as the QB and RB injuries. They brought in McKenzie, Kendall, Jones, Moore, Peko(who starts for Indy and we let go). The only year the OL was bad was last year b/c of a ton of injuries. This year we got the luxury of 2 1st rd picks and they used them wisely on OL after we let Mawae and Fabini go.
This is getting more laughable. You're counting Cavka's loss as a loss for depth purposes? I don't even think he would have made the starting roster had he not been IR'ed. We lost Mawae and Fabini. We needed to reshuffle players because the depth was simply not there to support one LG stepping in for another LG, one LT for another LT. Do you mean to tell me that you thought having guys like JP Machado, Brent Smith and others for depth purposes were actually wise moves? The only year I'm speaking about IS last year. The prior years, and especially those where our OL was held out as one of the best in the league, was built by Parcells, not the previous assclowns. Chalk up last year's debacle to poor planning and forecasting. We had plenty of mid-round white safeties whom the CS thought could be the next John Lynch though.
